people r saying that they have had speaker issues (i.e no ringer or music) after a housing replacement yet i cant see where speakers are attached to housing? is there any truth there? plus thos contacts seem easy enough ill be doing mine in next month or so, god vid btw cheers

where can i find a black bezel online. i tried amazon but the shipping would take 17 days!?! and can i find the opening piece to the bottom part in stores anywhere?
Thanks for the video. A word of advice to anyone buying the blackberry housing, don't buy from ukhitech. Almost everything was sized wrong, only thing i managed to swap was the bezel and trackball, even the battery cover is wrong. Now i'm out $20. :(
Hey dude, i didn't mean that it wasn't looking good after the swap, it still looks good, but it looks to much like the 8520, and if u have a 8900 u don't want it look like a 8900, not 8520, that's all, But of course that's up to personal choice, everybody has their own prefference. Still looks good thou.
At the time I did the swap the BB8520 wasn't even announced iirc. I still like the way the 8520 looks though, its just the internals that kinda ruin it for most ppl especially considering the fact that it isn't much cheaper than an 8900 nowadays.
i want to buy the black bezel but im afraid of breaking those contacts, because i know how to take it apart i changed the trackball but i don't know how to take those contacts apart pleaseee HELPPP!!!
@carvla The copper contacts literally stick on to the bezel itself. Use a razor blade to take the contacts off the bezel, then you pass them through a hole in the original bezel. When replacing, put them back through the same holes and press the contacts on the bezel with the existing adhesive already on the contacts. It's very easy.

Don't worry about it, its easier than it looks. Just used a razor blade and a little common sense and you should be perfectly fine.
