@marineman825 the MOST important thing is to reinstall windows every year. what happens is even when we keep computers organized, shit still happens, and you get the idea. has windows ever been reinstalled since you bought your pc? and when did you buy it? if its been more than a year, i advise you to find a friend or someone to reinstall it and you will see an increase in performance. if its more than 2 years, than you will see a HUGE difference. also, research "SSDs" and see if you can get one

@marineman825 to reinstall windows you need to get into BIOS, set boot priority so your cd drive is first. then you need a copy of windows cd, put it into your cd/dvd drive before you start your computer, and it will automatically get into the windows installation. then you format your hardrives (first save important data somewhere else) do a clean install, install all your drivers, then install your programs and tada! that'll take you about a day. if you're interested do a search on google.

@marineman825 an ssd for you would cost anywhere from $70 to 200, all you need is a small 60gb ssd for windows, then a harddrive for all your other stuff. ssd are THE FASTEST thing available, everything opens the instant you click on it. i have 2 of them, plus 2 harddrives. one of them (ocz agility 3) is used for windows and drivers only, the other (kingston ssdnow 100v, its an older model) i use for all my games, then the harddrives i use one for media and the other for all my programs.
