@pivoteeeeer You're using trailers for comparison? Then do some actual comparison instead of biased crap. Ezio attacks in public, how else are you going to get into the carriage, and he has his brotherhood so he knows he'll win(AC:B trailer). And Altair in AC is just as "flashy" he rushes up to the stand and kills like 5 guys then runs away. Assassin is not used in the actual term in the dictionary for the title, you don't have to do everything sneaky sneaky.

Ezio is good, but he is not as good as Altair, IMO, simply because Altair was as good as he was without the gadgets and help Ezio had. Altair didn't have fancy weaponry or flying machines or masses of helpers along the way. He had himself and his skills. Altair is an assassin through and through. Ezio isn't, really. He had the life forced on him, and each time he tried to leave, it was forced on him again.

I think in terms of fighting... it depends on which game you want to compare altair to. Because Ezio DOES become a Master Assassin no matter how he fights. But intellectually They can NOT be compared because of their backgrouds. Altair was destined from the beginning and Ezio did it for the truth/revenge.
Overall to me they are equally cool/badass/awesome anything you want to call it.

final analysis i'd say that Altair is stronger in straight fighting ability, ezio has greater adaptability and can handle any situation, being the better assassin!

not a very good attempt. Allow me... Although Ezio's drive is different, the people who killed Ezio's father were Templars, shown in the E3 Trailer. They share a common goal. Ezio just has a reason besides religion.
there maybe a mistake in this video because i thought the assassins in this game cut 3/4 of their finger off to let the hidden blade pass through easier. but as shown in this video ezio hasnt. notice it at the part just a little before the gun is taken out.
this assassin has moved forwardin time, the blade pops out at a possible slightly lower angle to the previous assassins creed and is further away from the finger.... why cut off a finger if the mechanism works fine anways and u might need it for the new weapons ;)
well i wasnt informed that the game designers would change this aspect from this game. so thats why i mentioned it. thanks ;p
in the first game i thought it was a good feature as this is what made the realisation that the girl that worked the animus was an assassin, so for me this did take a big part in the first game. now that it isnt in the game its a bit of a bummer. and it would be a bigger angle if it was coming away from his finger space.
ha ha ha, i am not saying its what the game designers did ;) its just how i worked it out :P and i don't know anything about the time machine part... i played assassins creed 2 (3 month build version) and i can safely say its a must buy game of the year ;)

Obviously Ezio was better weapons and armour because they improved on the gameplay from Assassins Creed 1. Altair was raised as an Assassin, so he was better, but at the end of Assassins Creed 2, Ezio has far more experience since hes in his early 40's, while at the end of Assassins Creed 1, Altairs still what? 25? Besides, without Altair, theres no Ezio, so theyre both good.

there maybe a mistake in this video because i thought the assassins in this game cut 3/4 of their finger off to let the hidden blade pass through easier. but as shown in this video ezio hasnt. notice it at the part just a little before the gun is taken out.

this assassin has moved forwardin time, the blade pops out at a possible slightly lower angle to the previous assassins creed and is further away from the finger.... why cut off a finger if the mechanism works fine anways and u might need it for the new weapons ;)

in the first game i thought it was a good feature as this is what made the realisation that the girl that worked the animus was an assassin, so for me this did take a big part in the first game. now that it isnt in the game its a bit of a bummer. and it would be a bigger angle if it was coming away from his finger space.
