  • Now if we could just get somebody to retell this tale using modern CGI technology and know-how along with a closer dedication to the actual historical events depicted... the Polikarpov I-16 was a little stinker to have to face in a "Nate" or "Claude" if the pilot knew what he was doing...

  • I had learned before that the very first american fighter pilots to die in WWII were Chinese American volunteers. This is a part of American History that should be told and not forgotten

  • I see every post I make is erased! Thanks for nothing!

  • @vawlkee51 =

If this is fiction, then the Pearl Harbor bombing was a fabricated story. But I'm interested in truth. You may use your other propaganda accounts and promote your krappy brand of history, but if your honest and truthful, without ulterior motives, then the message stays.

  • really? they own all japanese planes with 2 level planes? cmon thats retarded

  • @TheNinjanordundor During the first 3 months of the aerial warfare, ROCAF actually had a fairly favorable kill ratio againt IJAAF due to Japan's erroneus tactical doctrines. But IJAAF soon corrected their defficiencies and achieved a 6.5:1 kill ratio in 1938. However, by late 1938, with arrival of Polikarpov I-15 & I-16, & Soviet advisors (who brought with them lessons learned during the Spanish Civil War), ROCAF regained the upper hand (until 1940).

  • ここでもシナお得意の捏造ですか

  • @bbly096 Yes, hence the Lockheed F-104 (G or J ?) at the end of the movie.

  • @XiaoDanDragon Yes, they had Russian and… German airplanes.

  • @julosx

That's not true, the Japanese fighter pilots had in fact inflicted great losses against American and Allied airpower from 1940-45: of Saburo Sakai's 60+ aerial kills, most were against American pilots; of Hiroyoshi Nishizawa's 130+ aerial kills, almost all were against American fighters; of Tesuzo Iwamoto's 180+kills, 14 were against Chinese fighters, and almost all the rest were against American fighters; both Saburo Sakai and Tetsuzo Iwamoto survived the war.

  • @WangDianshi ok,thank you for your advice. ^-^

  • @WangDianshi And overclaiming by fighter pilots was rife on both sides. That said, there is no denying that the Western Allies took an absolute beating in the air from the IJNAF and IJAAF fighter pilots during the first year of the war, especially when flying obsolete aircraft like the Brewster F2A. Allied pilots also initially lacked the combat experience of their Japanese opponents and paid for it accordingly.

What best represent China's and Japan's relationship of people can be best summarized by the SMAP concert held in Beijing just last month, a typical friendly and fun occassion on the grand stage, and showing the overall awareness of reality and intelligence between people of China and Japan. On the stage of bi-lateral relations, it's generally the same, except for a few kinks that needs to be worked-out interms of what is reality and what is propaganda and phobia.

  • 1937 Italy changed foreign policy and deliberately gave China defective parts for Fiat planes and then canceled orders as Japan became part of Tripartate

  • In 1936, there were 6 Heinkei He111A bombers were sold to KMT Chinese airforce from Nazi Germany, at that time the Heinkei were very advanced bombers!

  • Even the USSR pilots were not that well trained compared to the Japanese. From 1937-1945. The Japanese had air superiority over China most of the time.

The US/UK Flying Tigers were good vs. the Japanese but even they had to rely on special tactics to take on the Japanese and had a hard time fighting them too.

The IJAAF and IJAAN were savaged in the Pacific fighting the US Army and navy air forces. The US out produced and out doctrined the Japanese.

  • The ROCAF was ressurected in 1938 by massive infusions of hundreds of Soviet I-15 and I-16 fighters along with hundreds of Soviet volunteer pilots. The ROCAF was again savaged by IJAAF and IJAAN pilots especially during the battle of Wuhan in 1938.

However constant infusions of aircraft kept the ROCAF alive from 1938-1941 and after USSR aid stopped the USA stepped in.

The ROCAF while a shadow of its pre war days was still alive later becoming the Taiwanese airforce after 1949.

  • The ROCAF had about 700 planes at the start of the Second Sino Japanese war in 1937. By 1938 the ROCAF lost most of their aircraft but were being replenished by aid from the USSR.

The ROCAF aircraft was mainly US Hawk Biplanes and were trained mainly by the Italians. The Italians did not train the ROCAF pilots well and the ROCAF pilots had poor coordination, this allowed the IJAAF and IJAAN to savage the ROCAF in 1937.

  • F-104はアメリカ、ドイツ以外に採用したの日本と台湾だよね?

  • During the war ,both China and Japan Air forces were spiritually strong, but obviously they weren't on the same level, the number of aircrafts owned by KMT was almost negligible compared to Japan's.

  • @BATURUSHA

Actually the ROCAF had about a comparable number of aircraft against the IJAAF and IJNAF in 1937. However was mattered was that Japanese pilots had excellent training and coordination.

Japanese planes which fought the ROCAF in 1937 were mainly biplanes(Ki-10s, A4N) with some monopolanes(A5Ms).

The ROCAF was using mainly US Hawk Biplanes with some Boeing P26 monoplanes.

  • @BATURUSHA

    continued...

But later due to massive losses the ROCAF was nearly destroyed and the Japanese was on war footing and produced more aircraft. The ROCAF had to rely on foreign imports to keep their air force alive.

Remember that the Japanese in 1937 and before was not yet on a total war economy.

  • What's a fake movie, this is! Of cource U.S Army air force(23rd fighter group) is strong and often defeated JAAF and JNAF.

But chinese air force's fighters always lost against Japanese・・・

Inspite of Chinese air force was helped by America,Germany, and Soviet.

This is a very shit movie! lol

  • @riotshorty1 America got defeated all the time during the early years against Japan. Japanese airplanes where superior until 1943 - 1944 when the Americans finely got their brains back and produced some decent planes and trained good enough pilots.

  • the I16 @ 10:32

  • The Chinese were Trained by the Germans PRIOR to the German Alliance with Japan.

As such , Many WW2 Era Depictions exist of our ( then ) Chinese ALLIES wearing German Style Helmets as well as German Style Soft Field Caps. In fact, MANY of Gereral Cheannault's American Volunteer Group " Flying Tigers" can be seen wearing the German / Afrika Corps Style caps. ( Albeit , with the Chinese Sunburst. )

They wore these to Fight off the Japanese Invaders , and used whatever weaponry was at hand .

  • @flyingtiger13 Explains the chopstick rockets used against Japanese ships.

  • CAPITALISM & COMMUNISM SUCKS..!!!

human beings still not equal specially in any form of government interference. No Politicians. No Bankers. No Drug Lords. No lawyers. No Gambling Lords. No Anarchist. No to rebel Politicians. No to Dictators. No Opportunist Lazy People. No King. No Emperor. No Sultanate. No Rulers. No Royal Families. No Criminals. No Elite Evil Minded People. etc. etc.

We humans need more freedom. We dont need any government anymore.. we are all free.!!

  • @flyingtiger13 Germany did not have airforce after WWI...thus it was NOT German who trained Chinese Air Force (Even though German did train the Chinese ground forces, 8 Division of them...It was Americans who later trained Chinese Air Force).

  • Hi, I watched this film when I was really young! Although the quality of the film (as a movie) is not very good, I'm still trying to find out what the title of this movie is. It shows a part of history that's not very well known. It'd be great if you could tell me what the title is, if you do know! (in Chinese or English, whichever would be easier to find)

  • @markhsx it's called "heroes of the eastern skies"

  • あまりにもデタラメ。

    当時の日本海軍はシナには絶対に負けておりません。

  • hard to tell who the good guys are with the Chinese wearing german helmets!!!

  • @fudbot What hell has helmet to do with Alliange of Good or Bad? First there is not such thing as good and bad guys and second Germans werent bad and neither was anyone that wear the Stahlhelm helmet!

  • NOOOO!!!!! SHE KILLED HERSELF.....NOOOOO....

  • man, who is the main actress...

    she is smoking hot

  • HOKEY!!! LOL

  • german helmets?

  • @OpaSann0

M1935 stahlhelm. It's no surprise western people know so very little about eastern people's true history and cultures. What's really amazing is how some westerners choose instead, to fabricate their own history about Asia and Asian people (i.e. Tibet, Genghis Khan, etc.).

  • @OpaSann0 Nazis provided arms to the nationalist forces(AKA Guo min dang)

  • @OpaSann0

Allied with China before the 1938. Sent aid and equipment.

  • ROCAF was also guilty of shooting at enemy (communist) parachutes after WWII.

  • @milvipes

ROCAF pilots were also guilty of deliberately missing communist targets, and Chiang Kai-shek would've had these brotherly pilots heads in a court martial... but why kill some of your best pilots who were hungry for some Imperial Japanese attackers blood?

  • @WangDianshi Deliberately missing communist target, looks pretty shameful and dishonorable to me

  • @DemocracynowChina You obviously have a pigskin Taiwanese mother. Both of her holes are open to everyone, including livestock animals. #LOL

  • @WangDianshi FYI : like I said to everyone, @DemocracynowChina (aka, Taiwanese Chink SHIT-EATER) is a gay freak, this bitch actually sent me photos of him with Chiang Kai-shek's statue halfway up his ass. #LOL

  • What is the full name of this movie?

    I want to buy it!

    Thanks for posting!

  • This is not the Flying Tigers. It was film made by Taiwanese about Chinese Air Force. Flying Tigers is the American Volunteer Corp.

  • Japan didn't have a air force in WW2

Japan never even had one in history

And I noticed the Japanese Pilot actors are wearing the Imperial uniform....

Pilots of the Imperial force wore gray pilot uniforms....

  • Great old-school special effects. As good as anything done by Gerry Anderson. On a historical note: These pilots were flying Curtis Hawk-III biplanes as shown in the film. This would have been no earlier than mid-1937. The Chinese were up against Mitsubishi A5M's, the direct ancestor of the famous A6M Zero, and vastly superior to the Curtis Hawk-III's.

These Chinese pilots had some serious guts.

  • Good job on this. Where was this filmed?
