M'am, those are NOT tobacco worms. I am convinced those are rustic sphinx cats. I could tell if you have something to scale. Tobacco worms have red horns, white true legs and always some black in their wrinkles.
I hope they finished okay and are overwintering as pupae. The rustics are at least 1/3 larger than other hornworms. Always feed the same plant or species to any caterpillar taken indoors.

I'm going to have to switch over to the ones you use. As long as I don't break my old ones I should be ok. I've never seen a hornworm that got so much brown pattern on its back before it changed. Yes, most hornworms as well as silk moth larvae, will change color and stop eating, when ready to pupate.
