With a lot of setup tinkering I was able to do a 1:28 with the same car and track. Basically you have to soften(a lot!) the suspension put the brake bias at 67(front) and that`s it. At least for me.
Its a perfect version of the 1991 track ! if you don't believe me then watch this real onboard footage /watch?v=uGBNYMZVHb8&feature=related of Senna in 1990 at Monaco then you can compare that real footage to this video just to see how close they really are ! if I was going to nit pick or just be overly critical then I reckon their are a few bumps which seem to be lacking from turns 2 & 3 but I'm not so imho I reckon they are just about bang on !
rFactor and it's mods is highly recommended if u wanna relive the legends of F1 etc. And the grafics ain't that bad either! It is an awesome feeling to drive a car with the best driver ever that makes u go faster automatically. Senna - for me the best for all time. Also those were real PS-monsters , that was Racing at it's best with other giants like Mansell,Prost etc.
@TheBigHase yes, racing at its finest, not just in f1...rally too, the group b monsters and their drivers, toivonen, rohrl, markku, vatanen... I really wish i could go back and watch every single event of motorsports. Legends
The steering wheel is hardly moving. If you see onboard footage of Senna driving the real 1991 McLaren Honda he is having to fight with the wheel... this was back when F1 was a PROPER Drivers Sport.....

u have steering ratio way too high!. that will make the car far too sensitive and overly twitchy. set rotation to about 470 degree and steering ratio to 14-15 degree, then do a lap,far more realistic. at the hairpin you should have to do a almost full wheel rotation. now do a lap and you will take at least 3 seconds off. with the right set up you can get the Macca down to about 1.24's. the williams u can get down to 1.22's with a good set up. best car on this track the fw14, it kicks butt
youre welcome. now start playing with the differential pre load, and give it more front wing too. also give the front wheels about -2.5 degree of negative camber.. you'll know when its right as after 2 flying laps and warmed up tyres it will handle beautifully

The music is from the album 'Furious Angels' by Rob Dougan. Top gear used it a lot I think for their epic races to Monaco and Verbier.
