@hound4680, the RAM in your graphics card has nothing to do with the normal RAM. You say you have 4GB RAM. Yeah, Vista 32-bit should only pick-up 3GB instead. But the 1GB in your Graphics Card is used for virtual memory which is used in games and applications requiring a big usage of you graphics card. Hope I helped.

im running vista 32 os, i heard it only recognizes 3gb of ram. i have 4gb of ram but have a 1gb videocard. does that mean i have 3gb of ram left, or does it me i have 2 becuase vista 32 doesnt rezognize the 4th gb

i got 2 slots DDR2 (533) & DDR(400)

in DDR(400) i have 2 cards 1gb 512X2

i wanna extend the memory ... which slot is better to extend?!
