I have to give props to GD for trying to sing falsetto. He's the main RAPPER, not the main vocalist of the group.
We honestly can't compare Taeyang with Daesung in this particular video because they sing differently but you can tell from other performances that Dae improved a lot since the boys have debuted. Taeyang honestly hasn't changed much.
@NicolettaBellaa i dont object your opinion because i consider anyone sings better i than i do a good singer, but he always gives his best at every performance. That makes me admire him alot. Btw, they're good at this, as i see
@changbikdatengi im not denying that he seemingly tries his best every performance, but thats not my point, what im saying is, he needs to fit in extra hours with his vocal coach. coz if the others can control their pitch while dancing (excluding top) the he should too. in the end, he's no more special than the other members.

Indeed. Daesung sings incredibly well now considering that he cracked a lot back in the Haru Haru days. SeungRi improved quite a lot since they debuted. I'm surprised to hear his vocals the clearest when I hear MRs.
I don't want to be cruel but Youngbae had lost his fire. He used to do a lot of different moves and executed them well. Now I only see him tugging his belt and twirling around. :/ It concerns me.

There's no way that 99% of people in the people can sing like that in falsetto. I sing in a choir so i know how hard it is to sing in front of a huge crowd, and doing that in falsetto is only something that professionals can do. I've been a fan of BIGBANG since their debut, and this is something completely new. All you haters can go try that and then judge some of the best singers there are!

People who doesn't falsetto can't really appreciate GD here. Cause it's purely falsetto. so before you judge his singing try learning music and how hard falsetto is. Or trying doing it and you'll end up with a wounded throat.
He's singing falsetto for almost the whole song, you try singing falsetto for the whole song and see how hard it is. Don't come to a conclusion that he can't sing just because of one song.

This is just my opinion, but an artist hardwork, is not just on the live singing, it is also about their music. So I don't think its fair to judge them slightly on how good their singing are on live performance. Yes, singer that have good vocals do WOW audiences..but just to be fair, they also have their bad and good voice days..so I dislike the idea of MR removed a lot, on any singer...

@OhmiyaStorm well, to be fair their old song Fool worked great with GD's falsettos and him alone. and GD is actually a fantastic falsetto singer. but he kinda overkilled this one when he's trying to pull taeyang and seungri into it when clearly falsetto isn't taeyang's nor seungri's range. i think GD did fairly well, though he was clearly off and he's definitely done better, but seungri and taeyang was just bad in this. and i agree that Cafe is more of a CD song than a live performance song.

Love Taeyang's sweet voice but as I notice always, it's not strong/loud enough for live shows. Mostly it's due to all the dancing he has to do, I guess. well, not that I trust the audio quality of this video though.
@TheVivianable, also remember, most live concerts on MAMA have people singing in very shitty microphones. One instance is when 2NE1 is singing Try to Follow Me live and the microphones they're using are shit.
@TheVivianable, watch live concerts in SBS Inkigayo and MBC Music Bank since the microphones there are so much better than the microphones at MAMA. ^_^
This isn't even GD's normal voice... For people who say GD can't sing and should stick to rap, you guys should check out GD & TOP - Haru Haru live performance (yes, GD and TOP performed Haru Haru by themselves and GD had to be the main vocal) because that's his normal voice and it definitely sounds better.
This song is meant to emphasize on Daesung's voice so I think the contrast between a strong masculine voice and a feminine voice worked out well.
@eternaltorture I did hear this version of haru haru and it did not work for me. GD's voice is definitely not for sing. He has strong voice, but it sounds not good. Kind of annoying
This performance confirms my belief that you should listen to more than just one song before you judge a singer. In all of their other songs w/MR removed, you're only able to see GD's talent because they move around so much and because there's a heavy over weight of rap parts. In this song you're able to hear how great Daesung's vocals really are and TOP's rap part really surprised me! And of course GD's high notes didn't disappoint me either ^_^

Daesung is really a good singer, he's got a powerful voice and it's a shame that there aren't lot of song to make his voice shine " that's why " people are more mesmerize by taeyang's voice and forget daesung ... This is just my opinion, but an artist hardwork, is not just on the live singing, it is also about their music. So I don't think its fair to judge them slightly on how good their singing are on live performance. Yes, singer that have good vocals do WOW audiences..but just to be fair, they also have their bad and good voice days..so I dislike the idea of MR removed a lot, on any singer...

when I listen it using earphone,, I think GD's voice is OK,, I mean it's quite good for falsetto,, at least he still tried his best to sang live,, if u listen to some other's group,, they didn't have any falsetto,, but they didn't even tried to sing

I'm aware of falsettos and the majority of music, but this performances is not something to fangirl over ecstatically. Props to you guys for having major love. But realize Big Bang are all like us at the end of the day. They're not like.. Gods, just exceptionally talented people lol

@OhmiyaStorm well, to be fair their old song Fool worked great with GD's falsettos and him alone. and GD is actually a fantastic falsetto singer. but he kinda overkilled this one when he's trying to pull taeyang and seungri into it when clearly falsetto isn't taeyang's nor seungri's range. i think GD did fairly well, though he was clearly off and he's definitely done better, but seungri and taeyang was just bad in this. and i agree that Cafe is more of a CD song than a live performance song.

Love Taeyang's sweet voice but as I notice always, it's not strong/loud enough for live shows. Mostly it's due to all the dancing he has to do, I guess. well, not that I trust the audio quality of this video though.

This isn't even GD's normal voice... For people who say GD can't sing and should stick to rap, you guys should check out GD & TOP - Haru Haru live performance (yes, GD and TOP performed Haru Haru by themselves and GD had to be the main vocal) because that's his normal voice and it definitely sounds better.
This song is meant to emphasize on Daesung's voice so I think the contrast between a strong masculine voice and a feminine voice worked out well.

This performance confirms my belief that you should listen to more than just one song before you judge a singer. In all of their other songs w/MR removed, you're only able to see GD's talent because they move around so much and because there's a heavy over weight of rap parts. In this song you're able to hear how great Daesung's vocals really are and TOP's rap part really surprised me! And of course GD's high notes didn't disappoint me either ^_^
