  • fuck who are they to get into my mind so easy??

  • please tell me word untill 0:08

    I couldnt listen

  • @rukatoniitaria he's saying "its the BBC" British broadcasting company

which is interesting because thom said whenever they use the radio in songs they tune in on 3 random live radio broadcasts and use whatever they pickup at the time.

  • hypnotism

  • magnifici !!!

  • i love that chunky rickenbacker tone @ 2:15

  • I'd give my left gonad to go back in time and be at Glastonbury in 2003.

  • @jimholland19 1997 was the better show.

  • adoooorooooooo!!!

  • this is like a crazy invention of a man ! thanks Thom ;)

  • I like thoms way of signalizing the end of the song. quite sophisticated.

  • Radiohead the best

  • honestly what the fuck is thom doing at the start?

  • @bawb100 Making music.

  • no saxaphone:(

  • @gotmilf6911 i like the chunky rickenbacker tone in this better i think

  • OH MY GOD THE SOUND SPECTRUM. SO AWESOME.

  • dat bass

  • thom yorke has considerably aged gracefully

  • he uses a real fucking car radio in the beginning fucking awesome

  • i can't help but move my body when i hear this song =]

    RADIOHEAD FOREVER

  • Radiohead is awesome... Even playing a song with 4 notes on the bass tab !

  • the extra guitar shoulda been on the album version.

  • "this is the BBC"

  • i just love Thom so much, even though he probably doesn't love me.

  • (fap, fap, fap) please tell me i'm not the only one who thinks this song is fucking sexy and stimulating and... nevermind.

  • If I had my own country, this would've been the national anthem

  • haha thom hates the media.....:-)

  • I don't think I really grasped how good this song until I saw it played live. The radio chatter and energy and everything really takes it to a new level.

  • They are like a modern version of Pink Floyd...DAMN AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @danchap99 during ok computer they were called punk floyd in some magazine

  • @MagicHetero ive always thought they sounded more like pink floyd in HTTF

  • @vruls yeah they do sound more like pink floyd in that and in in rainbow album than OK computer

  • This should be every country's national anthem.

  • "insanely, when the american is cut for the first time in the beginning of march"... o__O

  • Follow me on twitter @AnAirbagSavedMe

I try to talk about radiohead as much as I can and i'm trying to get a decent following. It would mean a lot

    LONG LIVE RADIOHEAD <3

  • 0:26 Hail Thom!!!!

  • I love Jonny jamming with the FM Radio in the beginning :p

  • 2:16- WIN

  • I am the 100.000. GOD bless first radiohead, then Youtube!

  • ondes martenots sound so fucking sick they should manufacturer them again ffs

  • @MrBenben4 fuck yeah id buy one :D

  • 7 people must be lil wayne fans

  • thank god i have GOOD musical tastes

  • The orgasming at the start was caused by tom ejaculating to that amazing baseline.

  • This is the world's National Anthem

  • This legally insane.

  • Best live song!

  • not everyone can listen to radiohead because of all the crap the media is blasting nowadays, it takes time for them to understand real music.

  • @krorphish eh. anyone that can sell out whole tours full of ampitheatre & arena shows really isnt that underground or anything. everyone's heard of them, but pre-technoapocalyptic paranoia -shockingly- isnt for everybody ;)

  • Seeing Radiohead live is a life-goal of mine that I have yet to accomplish.....Ahhhh

  • @thebrattster i have seen them live already back in the 90s 94 to be exact, but now I'd like to see them with there more recent stuff but they havent seem to come to the states all that much in the last 10 years...

  • @TheMac4010 I can't really blame them. I was ready to firebomb the crowd outside Baltimore in 2003 for being so dead. Music was great, but it can only take you so far when the crowd is more interested in comparing t-shirts than letting the music push them beyond the point of sanity.

  • @thebrattster same here, but hopefully glastp 2011!!

  • i started listening to radiohead when i was 3, and started drumming to it at the same time

  • Best band in the world right now.

  • there's no better band. in the universe

  • 16 now. Been listening to radiohead since my dad gave me his copy of Kid A after i got a CD player for the Christmas of 2000.

  • @TwoGuysWithPants I'm 15. My Dad gave me a box of CD's. Most of them were shit, but there was a little hidden gem that shaped the person i am today.

    Kid A

I have no idea where he got it from (most of the CD's were classic rock from the 70's) but thank GOD he did

  • first 80 seconds: thom having orgasm

  • LOL LOL LOL.

  • Brilliant bass line

  • so near..

  • I'm 15 now, and i've been listening to Radiohead since i was 10 years old :)

  • Their fucking performance is amazing! I would love to see them live.

  • Its the BBC ...

  • This version and SNL version are the best ever

  • Best band of our times and the second best ever.

    Peace

  • Just out of curiosity(i know its spelled wrong), whos the best band ever then? :)

  • @sevillafc43 Pink Floyd.

  • helen01bond .......is the evolution of the music......

  • i'm 21 years old and i've listening to radiohead since i was 10..since i found my uncle's ok computer album....i've been through all the diferent types of music of this fuckin' decade but no-one will ever be as good as RADIOHEAD!

  • Epic band...epic performance!

  • How the hell does Thom play the brass section on his guitar?

If anyone has the tab for it, it would be much appreciated.

  • I think it's a different tuning...

  • he's just driving the minor 7th home. It's one note, really. Just play minor pentatonic and emphasize the b7th. That's what the bari sax does on the recording.

  • Im 14 years old and for some reason...i Love Radiohead...Maybe because i played guitar...but...when i showed this song to my friends ... all they said was " What Was That Crap? Or..Crap Music ..No Solos" ...I dont get it ...o-o

This Song Is So Eletric and amazing

  • @Luvinhas cuz teenagers are so delusional these days and are surrounded by rap and pop music and think listening to that stuff makes them cool, dont sweat it, im 14 also, (notice my use of vocabulary there as well, no offense, I bet your friends vocab. arent even close to ours.) its good your not another braindead mate ;)

  • :P hell yeah xD

  • I got into Radiohead when I was 14 or 15 really deeply and my friends hate the music they think Radiohead are the worst band in the world. Then I moved to university and loads of people like Radiohead. Must just be smart peole...

  • same thing with me, all my friends think they suck too.. is a Homesite were they made a somekind of IQ test on different kind of music listeners, typical Radiohead was 109-116 (i think) while Lil'Wayne listeners had 91-94. dunno if its real ;)

  • i would'nt say smart but open minded.

  • this is originality.

  • im 14 too i suggested this song and spinning plates too him (and paranoid android) and hes now in love with them

  • lol i could talk show host at the very end teehee :D

  • Cool you have been to all festivals in the world. Or you are just talking shit.

  • You obviously misunderstood my comment. What I meant to say was this: No other Radiohead performance topped that one in Glastonbury 1997. Yes, I've seen a couple of gigs by them in probably 2 other festivals but Glastonbury 1997 still tops for me. Ask anyone who's seen them there and you'll pretty much get the same thing.

  • @SilverestFuel I think possibly Reading Aug 2009 might have topped it.... I wasn't at 1997, but who knows..

  • I haven't seen Radiohead for quite a while now. Missed their In Rainbows tour so I wouldn't know how good they were at Reading but I'm pretty sure it was wicked, as one of my mates told me. I guess Glasto 1997 was simply exceptional to me because of the setlist and it was the first time I've seen Radiohead. There was also the feeling that you're watching a band on the verge of making history, something akin to seeing Nirvana tour Nevermind before it got huge.

  • that vocal thing at the beginning is quite impressive, you try breathing like that for a minute straight.....

  • a radio.

  • Glastonbury 2003. Epic Radiohead concert.

I like this song better with the trumpets and saxes ... but this is fucking awesome as well. Anybody else notice that the Talk Show Host clip from that concert begins with the ending of this clip - ergo that they played Talk Show Host directly after this? Gooooood I wish I was there!

  • hahahahaha xD yeah!

  • wats that radio thing that ed uses?

  • Its for the voice at the beginning, and for a feedback effect.

  • this radio is called Radiohead :D

  • he sang "i feel love" at the end of this song in buenos aires it was the best thing ever i was like =O

  • this song makes me trip out more than most drugs...

  • very best.

  • 1:43

    thom knows radiohead is badass

  • This must be one of the tripiest tunes ever, pure sensory delight

  • They do have a bass player. Its Colin Greenwood

  • oh nevermind! lol Ed is choir and rhythm

  • ooooohhhhh!!!!!! hehehehehhehe ♥ them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    whahahahaha THOM REACHES CLIMAX! LOL

  • gotta love thom's facial expressions throughout haha

  • arghhhh thommmmmm

  • Jeez how many people were at this event??

  • About 100,000

  • hahahaha... "It's the BBC"

  • jeez that bassline is fucking SICKK

  • I actually wish this was the English National Anthem now, better than what we've got at the moment

  • i know, its better.

  • meu monstrinho york <3

  • Have sex to this song. OMG.

  • The song is sex.

  • Comment removed

  • what was the thing jonny had in the beginning? the weird box?

  • a radio X)

  • it's fucking genius...this band is incredible. tuning a radio to create different sounds in their music, incredible

  • one of my life ambitions is to see radiohead live

  • They are absolutely epic live. You must when you have the chance

  • God how I wish I could be Thom Yorke's microphone for a day..

  • mmmm i think I heard that thom just had this bass line and they built the rest around it, similar to the first track on thom's 'the eraser', someone was playing some chords on the ol' pianee and thom wrote a song around it

  • They are simply... the best.

  • When Radiohead recorded 'The National Anthem' Thom Yorke played the bass, but lets Colin Greenwood play it live. And on the Amnesiac album, when they recorded it Johnny Greenwood played the piano on 'Pyramid Song' but Thom Yorke plays the piano for it live.

  • Is it just me or do Radiohead sound WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY better live than on their albums.

Best band in the whole world.

  • i agree not even a comparison. I find some of there album versions to be somewhat boring compared to their live versions

  • Thats what i think with idioteque...The live version esspecialy on Glastonbury is way better then the album version (not that the album version sucks or anything because i like both) I think it has more soul in it live

  • Everyone

    Everyone around here

    Everyone is so near

    It's holding on

    It's holding on

  • I'd love to hear Thom, Jonny and Ed just go nuts and each do their own solo

  • Ahh man this is ace live.

  • can you imagine if you wrote a piece of music like that and you seen the reaction people were giving you.

id be dancing around like an idiot aswel and just generaly getting lost in the music

  • YEAH!!!!

  • why is the bassist not filmed. he's the most important part of this song!!!

  • No shit right?Kinda fucked up

  • In this song and this one ONLY Thom was suppose to play the bass.

  • really? why so?

  • apparently he wrote the bass line for this song

  • He aint scary or crazy he just feels every note

  • well no one in the band is on drugs so I would say its the tunes

  • when you're an artist, you don't need drugs to be creative...

  • @sgtpopoy Hes probably on drugs.

  • @bond465 if you're saying that i am, then that's where you're wrong...

but it's undeniable that some artists do take 'em, albeit it being an unnecessary motivational factor to be creative...

  • How wrong some people are eh!!!!!!!!!!????????

  • thom yorke is fucking scary as hell

  • Scary fucking awesome

  • Not many things make me speechless, but this tunes has done it! EXPRESSIVE ! how i wish i were there :((

  • What an amazing performance, f***** outstanding

  • this song is aural bliss live

  • does he say its the bbc?

  • I love the fact Jonny just plays whatsever on the radio at the time and makes it incredibley cool.

  • yeh.. I didn't know it was live actually until recently!

  • It's Jonny, it doesn't matter what he does on stage, I'll still praise him as my god...WWJGD? = What Would Jonny Greenwood Do?; Answer = anything he fucking wants.

  • isnt that taking things a bit far?

  • Hahahaha ... god one! So true as well

  • Yea i was thinking that too when i noticed Jonny was using a radio. I thought that was phat how he was just using something that was going on everywhere else, cept there it must was awesome

  • YH BOY!

  • this is my idea of a national anthem

  • it should be ours =]

  • orgasm

  • i dont believe anyone who uses the phrase boo hoo'n can be, in block capitals, COOL

  • It looked better at the Bowl (Hollywood) I was there night one

  • they are gods you idiot, not rock gods, just ordinary gods. SOrry if you thought it was tokio hotel doing the national anthem.
