seriously sony 3D tvs is the best i have seen compared to other brands like samsung and lg they have very few crosstalks and almost no crosstalks in some models like 2011 hx series...though still panasonic still has the perfect 3D plasma tv..the VT20/25

NOT a 3D-only TV -___- . i recommend it to all the schmucks out there (especially those with a PS3) . lots of content coming out next year in the form of both games and movies. dnt miss out!
Have they done serious studies into how these could effect vision after long exposure? like 8hours a day for years on end? When 3D was only for movie theaters there didn't seem to be an issue because you'll only be doing it for a few hours at a time but now that people can watch TV and play video games like this i could see long term exposure causing problems...

@ARproxc My understanding is that 3D viewing becomes disorienting/uncomfortable after a while.If you wear Rx specs,check out Marchon 3D eye-wear.Meanwhile,polarized CLs have been available for a few years,so it's possible someone is working on a CL product,but expect them to cost a small fortune.You'd more than likely have to switch your CLs just for viewing 3D.Specs are infinitely cheaper to produce,and photochromics and frame accessories make specs way more manageable.
@ARproxc the specs are active shutter, meaning that they need batteries and etc. But i have an LG Cinema 3D TV and it uses the RealD 3D Cinema Specs which are a relief. I hear LG is working on contacts since they are only polarized ;) I hope this helped in anyway!

They will soon be previewed at CES 2010, they've been previewed already in other countries years ago but market share needs to decline until a new product is released. Nintendo isn't all advanced just because they release something nobody releases earlier. Nintendo also isn't advanced to build Television sets 56" inches, its easy to build 3D into a 2" inch screen that is why it's unnecessary to wear glasses .

Anyone else watching off to the sides would not get the effect. This happens for the 3DS, only the person watching it from back center can see the effect, anyone trying to watch off to the side sees a blurry image.

The 3DS works by introducing a parallax barrier that allows each eye to see a different set of pixels, emulating real-life 3D. However the light rays that result from this are directed to a specified viewing area in front of the screen and it will only work at or around that position and distance. Object size is irrelevant.

The technology will get better, the glasses don't look bad if you ask me. Price is high but it's still very early, remember when flat screens first enters the world and everything was expensive then, well these will become the norm, even technologies for 3d tvs which don't require the glasses. I love how fast technology grows. I remember playing games on my sega megadrive and now we have crysis standards. Things can only get cooler!

heres an idea, the dsi 3D is using some kind of tecnology that all you have to do is look at the screen for a while and without having glasses it plays 3D! dont believe me check out dsi 3D soni needs to suck up their pride for once and work with nintendo cause im not wereing 3D glasses just to play a game or watch regular tv

@WalkaTownJoka There are already 3D TV's that don't require glasses, Samsung and Intel. They will soon be previewed at CES 2010, they've been previewed already in other countries years ago but market share needs to decline until a new product is released. Nintendo isn't all advanced just because they release something nobody releases earlier. Nintendo also isn't advanced to build Television sets 56" inches, its easy to build 3D into a 2" inch screen that is why it's unnecessary to wear glasses .

Guys Everyone, OMG I am a Sony Fan ALL I CAN SAY IS you honestly have to see the TV for yourself. Sure its a hefty price but if 3D like how sony makes it then the future is 3D. Please go to the mall or something or go a a Sony store and try it on yourself its not like the 3d with blue and red but its diferent technology so you dont throw up like you did watching spy kids. Think about how I felt when I was watching 3d on a HDTV and a beautiful whale came straight at me on Discovery channel. WOW

The Tv is too big for 3D without glasses it will work for the 3DS because it's small but for a TV is not possible unless they make it smaller.

@Zern227 Not entirely true. TVs can have 3D without glasses, however the effect would only work for the person sitting direct center with it. Anyone else watching off to the sides would not get the effect. This happens for the 3DS, only the person watching it from back center can see the effect, anyone trying to watch off to the side sees a blurry image.

@Zern227 Look, you can keep saying that but you have absolutely no scientific knowledge of what you're saying. The 3DS works by introducing a parallax barrier that allows each eye to see a different set of pixels, emulating real-life 3D. However the light rays that result from this are directed to a specified viewing area in front of the screen and it will only work at or around that position and distance. Object size is irrelevant.

@leimeisei909 Actually you don't have any scientific knowledge because the 3DS is small it uses 2 screens to display the 3d image unfortunately that will only work if its small it will take a lot more money to do it with a hd tv. And the point of 3-d is so people can enjoy a life like image it would be stupid for people to only to watch it if they're bunched up

@louiscarr899 yeah I agree, I have a 65 inch 1080p TV that can be 3D but I couldn't give a shit, 3D isn't all that great, I love getting the one step up above others and one upping all my friends but I think it's a liability and plus 3D has given me a headache everytime.

@louiscarr899 You really should read up about the stories, and articles about the long term damaging effects, these TV may cause. I for one, suffer from bad headaches whenever I watch one of these 3D TV's. So In saying that, I will not risk damaging my eye-sight.
