  • @superstartpolarbear - You need to use the distributive property first to remove the parentheses. Multiply -3 by 2m to get -6m, and -3 by 6 to get -18. Then you wil have 7m-6m-18+12, then you can combine like terms to simplify. Good luck!

  • Great!

  • Very interesting. What is 4-5(-4n+3).

  • You're AWESOME. Love the teaching technique!!!

  • how about we combine the terms 'U' and 'I' ;)

  • @1234LMAO12345 LMAO that was funny. But yeah she's hot + smart= damn!

  • i wish yhu were my math teacher yhu da best

  • thx u!!!

  • how is -1/2(-8)=4 ?

  • I finally understand! I have a test tomorrow and I finally get it :) It so simple now

  • i love you

  • thank you!!! my teacher gave me this as a homework assignment and we did it last week but i forgot how to do it! nice refresher! yh! its a little more tough but i like algebra! i'm only in 8th grade 13 years old and already taking algebra! i took higher math in 6th and 7th grade. =D

  • The answer to the question above is, it is simplified to 14x+5

  • @nodoubtitsmelissa - When you combine like terms using addition or subtraction, it is similar to saying "What is 5 apples plus 8 apples?" The answer is 13 apples, not 13 apples "squared." Only when we multply terms together do we add the exponents. For example, 3x times 3x is 9x squared.

  • wait, so, when she did the smaller example at the end, with the 6x+3x wouldnt it b 9xsqaured? Can someone explain this to me? and btw, video was VERY HELPFUL! MORE VIDEOS PLZ!

  • Excellent. But could I suggest putting a few problems on board at one time--ie like terms, or distributive props. which would give us a chance to try and solve before you do. It would help some of us that need practice after your explaination--which is more through than other vids on here. Others only take a minute or two to explain which is not helpful.

  • Thanks to you I'll actually pass my test. My teacher does NOT explain it as good as you! Thank you so much for posting this, you are awesome!

  • 3(4x - 1) + 2(x + 4) solve this? someone.

  • @7VightShade 11x +8?

  • Someone explain how to do this one please. 3(4x - 1) + 2(x + 4)

  • You explain this better than my instructor at the college. Thanks!

  • THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thank u so much iam studying for a asvab and this way better than a book.

  • very good thank you so much its easier to understand the concept of combining like terms if you dont mind I would be very great ful if you can make a video on simpllifying each expression again thank you so much honey very good job breaking it down . :) have a good day
