If Haley and Costa were in the final scene of "Scarface'', they would have killed everyone in the room and tea bagged their dead corpse before Tony got his head out of the pile of coke
@GibsonG777 Agreed people are scared of simunition because it fucking hurts like no other, ive been shot with it and it reminds you not to fuck around lol
you guys do know these guys have actual combat experience right? im not directing this to everyone just the one's saying i wonder this and i wonder that about how they would do under direct fire in a combat zone. all the instructors at magpul have combat experience and are some form of special ops.
wow very impressive....now lets see you actually perform over in a combat zone, under fire....then well see if your pussies bleed, or your actually put up a fight. Your backyard isnt al anabar!
travis haley is a combat marine veteran, chris costa has law enforcement experience in the coast guard. they both have been there and done that. their training simulates real life engagements and injects them into training. shooting groups in a fire fight is unheard of. combat effective is all that matters. any hits on target will have an effect, hopefully the first 6 rounds of 5.56mm drops them cold on their backs.
You never know how you would react to a real life situation, but training like that is what will help you react appropiatly. If done enough the sub-concious part of yor brain will take over. Allowing you to react faster.
He did the mag change on the move, while his buddy was engaging the targets. It's hard to tell, but he may have gone dry while engaging targets on the move.
@ferret6677 he did it while his partner was giving covering fire and he started while behind cover. that and you never want to stay in the same place for very long
@BlitzedBitc They both have EXTENSIVE background in doing just so. Look up "Travis Haley blackwater" on youtube, or "blackwater snipers". That's him rocking the BlackWater DMR.
@BlitzedBitc Not familiar with Chris Costa or Travis Haley, are you? They both have "seen the elephant," so to speak, and have more time behind a trigger than 100 men.
@rossshady120 no....lool i'm sorry but airsoft doesn't have the recoil, the souds (such as the CRACK from a bullet breaking the sound barrier, or the sharp whizzes when it came super close to you) or the fact that airsoft pellets don't penetrate barriers like bullets do, nor do they even go a quarter the speed of a bullet. the stress factor isn't there either
@joeberger simunitions are the best for training purposes, but they're too expensive for a lot of schools. Airsoft is cheaper, and it hurts enough to let you know you've been hit. To simulate human vs human that is all you really need. (btw they do make airsoft with recoil).
@dajokn19 I spent 4 years in marine recon (Facebook proof) and we didn't even like simmunition because they don't travel fast enough, the sounds aren't the same, malfunctions aren't the same, ricochets, weight if he weapon, the stress level...I can go on for hours. The things you can go over with airsoft guns might as well not even include them at all. If my platoon wasn't in the house shooting live rounds next to each other, on on the "square bay" CQB range, then we were doing flow drills
And to elaborate on the speed difference even at close range: I cant tell you how many times in airsoft games that I've shot at someone peeking out of a barricade and they pull back just in time. Had that been a real bullet, they'd have been hit. Or, when I hit them with a pellet, and they continue shooting for another second or 2. Had they been shot for real, their CNS would've been rocked, and they would not be able to IMMEDIATELY shoot back. Ignoring these concepts is dangerously stupid
@dajokn19 Just don't emphasize too much on the airsoft aspect of it, if that makes sense. In both workups for Iraq and Afghanistan we only went to the infantry immersion trainer once, which uses role players, a mock village and sim rounds. We practiced out SOPs for clearing, marking dead/wounded, handling detainees, and interacting with locals (role players). We paid very little attention to the simmunition aspect of it. The last thing you want to do is build bad habits and bad muscle memory
@BlitzedBitc travis haley is an ex-recon marine who has seen real combat. this is just a training illustration. these guys have been there and done that.
@BlitzedBitc you can't train human vs human. i'd put money on them more then someone who can't shoot like that even with targets. what are you getting at other then pointing out the somewhat obvious?
@BlitzedBitc Check out a video called "Blackwater Sniper," on youtube. If the guy doing the shooting looks familiar it's because he's Travis Haley, the same guy in this video. He knows all about human vs human situations.
What do guys think would have happened if Chris Costa and Travis Haley robbed that bank along with Val Kilmer Tom Sizemore and Robert DeNiro? Imagine that
@TheTavorMan21 "What do guys think would have happened if Chris Costa and Travis Haley robbed that bank along with Val Kilmer Tom Sizemore and Robert DeNiro? Imagine that"
Al Pacino would be forced into retirement after taking a 556 to the abdomen and shoulder, Tom wouldve lived but he and Deniro would have to give their cuts to Chris and Travis for saving their asses.
@indyman18 Actually no, that never left my mind. The point being if it were a scenario with those two pitted against police the majority of the police would be toast. That was my point.
@TheTavorMan21 What do you guys think would happen if Chris Costa, Travis Hanley, Jack Bauer, Jason Bourne, and Bob Lee Swagger robbed a bank? Imagine that.
@icecoffeeenthusiast The real question is what happens if all those people had a single baby together. Don't get wrapped around the dynamics of "DUDES CANT HAVE BABIES" lol. Just imagine!
basicly counting your rounds is so you know when a rounds left in the chamber, So next time u put a fresh mag in u dont have to pull the charging handle right? idk if im wrong corecct me.
The bolt locks back when all of the rounds have been expended. You then drop the magazine, insert a fresh mag and hit the bolt release, which is on the left side of the gun. You CAN pull the charging handle back to release the bolt, but it is more time consuming.
When the last round is shot the bolt locks back. insert a fresh mag then press the bolt release on the left side of the gun. But these guy look like theyre just counting. Not really safe, or practical.
Awesome coodination; smooth transitioning and fluid movement. Magpul Dynamics has some awesome training and i intend to take their Carbine course soon.
Crazy dude. Thats exactly what i was just about to ask. . My gues is that he has counted his rounds. when your doing this kind of thing day in, day out, you learn how to count your rounds automatically and can end up changing mags wihout even thinking about it..
Those guys are badasses indeed, but isn't that the dude that was talking about checking your ejection port when you empty a mag to make sure that the mag is empty and there is no weapons malfunction? Or is that only when enguaging a target single handedly?
If you train to look at the ejection port every time the weapon stops firing, then it will become muscle memory and it is a good habit. this video was rehearsed and it looks like they were concentrating on communication, movement and world record reloads.
Great video, you guys are smooth and fluid with one another. Makes the beer can shooting I do at the local gravel pit look like childs play. Thanks for sharing and illustrating your skills and proper weapons handling.
