We could achieve more if we worked together and set aside religion and our difference.

I think in the future we could achieve to a type 3 civilization, and right now we are only type 0.

This is the most beautiful series ever made! I did not like SciFi series at all but the producers of this serie did their homework! It was a very realistic show to watch and sometimes (although i know it is not real) i wonder if this is all possible.

Yeah its a real damn shame that Stargate is practically dead after Universe, It was stuff like the mythology that made it brilliant in my own opinion and with the music like the ascension theme that moves the heart of every viewer, we need a revival of this tv show, not Universe, but SG-1 or Atlantis or something, so many ends that have not been tied up much

This is a really moving song for a really moving scene. That scene had me in tears, it was so beautifully done. I praise Joel Goldsmith for this song, and the other brilliant songs in Stargate SG-1 as well. It really is beautiful.

This has to be one of the saddest scenes I have seen on a Sci Fi show. I got so into the characters and to see them go through this really teared me up. What teal'c said, as well as what Jack had to do in order to tell them to stop. :'/ at that point I let out a tear.

Well in a way i suppose it's possible.

All what we are, is electrical impulses in our brain, and some brainac once said "it's impossible to destroy energy, but it can be changed" or something like that. So in a way i suppose we live on ones we die ..

@lolwut112 In order for something to change into a different form of energy, something has to force it to. As in, a machine of sorts. Besides, do you know how much energy would be released if one were to suddenly transform into light and heat? Enough to probably incinerate the whole planet. Also, this has always bugged me, what kind of energy form do you transform into when you 'ascend?'

@MonstrotousM666 unknown to humans as there is no study or research for ascension or i think there isn't, that form of energy can be unique or universal, and it can be modified by the "ascended being", for example you want to become someone else, you become someone else. there are many ppl who are saying that in 21 dec 2012 we will all ascend beacuse on that date all planets will be perfectly in the same position, releasing immense energy witch will activate our DNA and ascend us.

@WNxWolfinator It's never been released, so fan's are just calling it either "Daniel's Ascension Theme" or "Daniel's Death Theme." Joel Goldsmith, I think, is considering releasing another SG-1 CD, so go add your voice to the freeclyde forum asking for this music to be one of the tracks.

This isn't Daniel's theme at all; it's Orlin's theme and was not the music used in the scene pictured. I believe it's from ep 5x03, "Ascension."

@girlwhowasntthere actually this is also used for Daniel during season 6, so it's of implied that since it was Orlin's theme as well, that it works for all ascended beings.
