Terminal protip: you don't need to prefix ./ to a subdirectory, just the directory name will do, and if you type a few characters and hit the Tab key bash and most other shells will autocomplete the directory name.

@2526abraham your wifi card might not be supported by ubuntu, or might need special drivers. I would suggest posting in the ubuntu forums and they can probably help you more there.

Great vid!! Here's a little Unix/linux-tip. In the terminal, write the first 1-2 or more letters of a file/directory name that you want, then press TAB. Autocomplete will write the name for you. If there are several files/directories with the same name in the directory you have to type a few more letters until its clear which file you want.

@iamXAW 10.04 was released in April of 2010 and 10.10 was released in October. I would go with 10.10 just because it's newer.
