  • Since when is turning your left shoulder to block punches (which, by the way, he did with the last two thrown) quitting? And if he were hurt, how would he have the presence of mind to immediately complain to the referee about stopping the fight? This was the Finals of The Contender, not Wimbledon.

  • @trinityboxing how many more punches would like troy to hit him with before he steps in an stops it?

  • I agree Hino was all at sea. However, the ref could have given him a count first then let it continue if he could.(Hino was way too fresh)

If Hino was then all over the shop (like my sister in the January sales) then stop the fight.

Ross did seem to land harder than Hino though (from what I can see).

  • theres no standing 8 count in pro boxing no more. eighter u stop the fight, or u let it go on. hino turned his back, which is a major no-no. one of the things the ref tell the fighters before the fight "protect yourself at all times". whenever a fighter cant intelligently protect himself its the refs job to step in. turning your back and grabbing the ropes isnt intelligently defending yourself.

i dont think he meant to quit, but he was overwhelmed and unable to defend himself, good stoppage.

  • The fighter QUIT!

Dont blame one of the BEST ref's in the game.
