  • Perhaps I am a little mentally deficient but the bit at 10:25 when Ticky appears is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time

  • I'm only 16 and even my Mum sat me infront of a Tv with this on, ridiculous amounts of years later!

  • I'm 19 and I used to watch this when I was younger :)

  • That bitch better not wish for five things goddam.

  • Im only 20 and I used to watch this when I was younger

  • @GlitterLouise Well aren't you the little happy hipster...

  • Love this! <3

  • YOUTH

  • She has a lovely voice. Makes me feel nostalgic.

  • :) paper lanterns and chicks

  • Wow, that was emotional.

  • Sausage reminds me of some old bloke I used to know.

  • this was the episode i had on vhs :) x so many memories!!!

  • Who is this lady? She is rather charming, and no credits at either end

  • im only 23 but even i watch this on vhs as a youngen

  • I watched this with my mother as she kept the video for us, i always loved this so it brings back lovely memories. you can hear the chicks cheeping in the background if you listen carefully :) thankyou for uploading this.

  • christ we've still got this video somewhere in house

  • THAT was hilarious! My first ever viewing of this show. So that girl temporarily became Rapunzel, what's with the tiny, dog with the Mr Bean voice? & that monkey thing was creepy! If I saw that in real life I would grab a holy cross & say "BACK! BACK!".

So, do you have to be on some chemical substance to watch this?

  • Was show featured in Doctor Who a few years back?

  • brilliant - thank you so much for keeping these programmes and putting them on youtube for us all to share.....I always wanted to be Bizzy Lizzy...Im sure I would have made four good wishes! They were wasted on her....lol

  • lovely memories she always reminded me of Mary Poppins

  • I used to have this on video and made countless lanterns

  • Ah Innocent times! Bizzy Lizzie was my favourite too, but 'this' version predates the one I remember watching in about 1968 / 69 which was done with puppets and featured her friend an Eskimo doll called 'Little Mo' ( Lizzies first wish was always that he came to life' ) Also if Lizzie made more than 4 wishes all the furniture in the house would disappear for the day. Those Bizzy Lizzy clips seem to have vanished for ever and even friend's my own age don't seem to remember the programme now.

  • The Jolly Jacktars,brilliant !!!!

  • lol i made one of those lanterns a few weeks ago. No real reason why, just had to. XD

  • Thanks for the memories.

  • I loved this when I was little..Bizzy lizzie was my favourite..

  • cannot believe i used to watch this middle class propagada

  • @7777blues LOL....at least it wasn't violent , just simple stuff!

  • @7777blues on what principles do you consider this "propaganda"?

you come across as very bitter and ignorant when you make comments like that, what on earth would you have rather watched as a youth?

  • @7777blues

So what neo-Soviet agitprop would you have 3-4 year olds watching?

  • When I saw this growing up I would always be making the lantern for days!~ Bizzy LIzzy was my favorite art, had this on VHS in the 90's

  • I think the dog fancied her...

  • Oh wow! i have been looking for this for ages. Do you have the other one where she makes "a lace" with sand?

  • @drumhead225 oops i meant "A Place"

  • Thanks for uploading this. Picture Book was my always my favourite.

  • With the Picture Book, I even made paper lanterns

  • I had this on video in the early 90's when I was 3 to 6 years old. Thanks for upload Andy Pandy, Bill and Ben and the others. Brings back my childhood memories
