  • 0:13 didn't know George Foreman did percussion.. xD

  • That is an "addicted" video. =p

  • @col1nn Who cares where someone first heard this song...as long as they heard it.

  • @gonzosgroove thats what i meant, it's bad if you know this song through Black Ops.

  • Ehhhhahhhh

  • Can you allow it to be shared on facebook thanks.

  • And I was round when jesus christ

Had his moment of doubt and pain

    Made damn sure that pilate

Washed his hands and sealed his fate (8)

  • Love you Micky

  • This.....olo.

What I wanted to say is "This video needs the solo", but without the middle part IT MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE, eh?

  • I'd give my right arm to see the whole, enedited, un-fucked up version of this....probably one of Brian Jones's last TV appearances.

  • i love devil

  • Hey mick lighten up and stop f calling people names. What a goof.

  • Whos the guy playing the bongos?

  • :D One of my favourite songs ever!! Thanks for the upload!! :D

    xo

  • by the power of jesus christ i summon the a therapist for the first comment

  • I gotta ask, even though some people will probably call me an idiot for needing to, but as the audio sounds exactly like the studio cut, and, as one other prat of a commenter noted, is cut, I'm assuming this is the studio take dubbed on the tv performance. I don't think they did that in the late 60's but I wasn't around then, so my question is, is this the audio as it was broadcasted, or was it dubbed on later?

Either way, thanks for the upload! Watching them is great!

  • Lip syncin bs

  • @mikegbb it's obviously been overdubbed at a later date you tool

  • i love brian jones

  • @mv9186 me too

  • FUCKIN EPIC.. mick is epic

  • @musicman257 Nah. Justin Bieber is a talented vocalist who is forced to perform on tired shit that sounds like all the other tired shit. He'll be messed up by the time he's in his 20s.

So-called pop songs of today don't have any message other than drink until you puke and have sex. This is the shit that's marketed to 9 year olds. It's totally fucked up.

  • Q loucuraaaa!

  • CHEERS!!!!!

  • ive seen the devil......

  • @ChasNDaveVideos. Forgive him, he's Australian and therefore an illiterate un-educated, foul-mouthed convict.

  • epic

  • two ends of the spectrum, that tv host and them lot...

  • ithis song is about libya

  • @fknucklewit Why the hell did u even comment? Let alone watch it. No ones forcing u to watch this if you dont like it.

  • @RubberSoul846 Why have you cut the solo ! :'(

  • @RubberSoul846 He should have worked out that this would be a shorter version straight away seeing as it is 3:14 long and the original is twice as long.

I can't believe you do us a favour by posting this video, and those are the kinds of insults you get... ridiculous!

  • @atowari Thanks man. This song is an awesome classic

  • @RubberSoul846 how the fuck will he know if he likes it or not if he has not watched. dumb cunt.

  • @fknucklewit It's been compiled from several different incomplete broadcasts, quite expertly too in my opinion. However if you have a complete uncut version please post it as I'd love to see it. : )

  • @fknuckletw¡t This was how it was edited by "Sir"David Frost, dude. It was too long for his sensitive taste.

  • Comment removed

  • @fknucklewit if u dont like it then dont watch you retard

  • @fknucklewit well said

  • @fknucklewit

You need to settle the fuck down, asshole. You make Australians look bad and I don't want an asshole like you to represent a person like me.

  • whoever posted this... you worthless cunt! You fucked up Keiths's solo. You are a swine. Come to Australia and I will have beaten by Rolling Stones fans. You fucking cockheaded cunt arsemunching fuckwit! I want my minutes back....

  • rode a tank held a generals rank when the blitzkrieg raged and the bodies stank

  • But it's the david frost show!

  • lol, "the robert frost show"

  • Awesome, but Robert Frost is the Poet, LOL. David in this case...

  • Did the show cut out the "I rode a tank, held a general's rank..." part because it was offensive or too close still at that time to the horror of WW2 to britons?

  • @YARBLES1969 Yep, they cut it out, powerful part of song...

  • @lowtide1969 Huh. Weird how the seperation of time makes softens things historically

  • @lowtide1969 And yes... some of the most vivid, powerful, stark lyrics in a rock song.

  • 8 dislikes... What the... who are you?

  • Its playback

  • I guessed who it is CHUCK NORRIS

  • There´re 8 broken condoms betweeen us.

  • so funny, i cant see the dislike bar! XD

  • Im 14, and to see how much people love all these fake artists with their crappy music and to praise these people for it are lost, they need to find true music with meaning, here is true music with meaning

  • GEILE MUCKE!!!!!!

  • he was hot back then1

  • Wow, Mick Jagger is hot!! It's so sexy to watch him singing to his crotch and take of his shirt. ;]

  • what was Mick doing at the end.....that was kinda wierd, especially to this song....

  • my fave song

  • oh yeah and just conveniently forget to introduce the black guy who plays the intro of the song...

  • @tanooj2 ....he's not a member of the band.

  • @nagantm44 i know... but he's still on stage. you can't just ignore him.

  • Mystery cleared: Mick's girlfriend Marriane Faithful was reading "The Master and Margarita" by Mikhail Bulgakov, a novel fashionable in 1968. Mick took a quick peak and borrowed it's idea for his song. People read into it and made a big deal out of it, and when too much speculation and death threats appeared, Mick safely changed his act from devilish to football jersey-clown. Everything else is journalistic hype. (Read the novel if you want to know more - it's a decent one.)

  • Jagger was just trying to scare my Mom. He did a good job of it too. Especially when she realized this song is about the devil. The Stones were banned at my house. That just made me listen all the more. 46 years, a hard core Stones fan. Now, instead of wearing out 45s, LPs, 8 Tracks, Cassets and CDs, I have every Stones song on my computer/IPOD.

  • Forever nd ever rolling

  • Will you now please stop saying JUSTIN BLIEBER (mispelling on purpose) at EVERY 60's Music Video/promo clips on youtube?! We KNOW!!!

  • The white James Brown. I wish I had that much soul hah!

  • Is David or Robert Frost??? Is David Frost.

  • Brian Jones,,,R.I.P.

  • brian jones was the real musician- mick jagger is such a faggot..what in the hell is he doing with his shirt at the end ?

  • i love how you can hear the southern blues in there music. muddy waters and stuff. this is amazing

  • @UserNamei5 Amen.

  • It obviously is not lip synched, at the end where he takes his shirt off ther is no singing till he does so, exactly!

  • @pickleracoon The soundtrack is from the record. All TV shows of this type were lip-synched (or mimed as it used to be called) If you want to see it live check out the Rock and Roll circus or watch the film by Luc Godard which shows them making the record. It evolved out of a fairly slow laidback tune which had its beat changed to the now familiar song.

  • wow nice

  • in parade detroit pimp a must see

  • I knew he was "Keith Richard" for a while, but I didn't know it was ever "The Rolling Stone" ^___^

  • Comment removed

  • How bad ass is this? Considering this is 43 years ago does it look one iota dated? Mick in his her pomp, Keith nonchalant in his heroin honeymoon, Brian NOT looking well (hence rarity of shots possibly?). Something to behold

  • this is music kids not justin beiber lol

  • @musicman257 what a stage presence, I'm 30 but I wish I would being alive in that era.

  • @musicman257

"bieber" is spelling correctly, musicman257, not what you did. :p

  • @musicman257 they don't know what music was really about

  • @musicman257 Hell ya man. I fucking hate music these days except Eminem. 2005 is wgen music went downhill.

  • @musicman257 what makes this music? coz it speaks to you and it evokes a certain feeling from way back when you first heard this song and you thought it was music.. a soundtrack to the picturebook of your life.

Justin Beiber's songs do that to this generation of teens as they journey on their own experiences through life. Let them be.

  • bummer its lip synched

  • Sexy sexy Mick

  • Now kids, THAT'S a frontman.

  • uh, was it just like a year previous year the stones played on ed sullivan and changed the words to..." lets spend some time together"

and here, an openly sort of satanic song...

re...and lyrics now, i m not saying its bad or good, notice the change though in what is accepted in lyrics and so on.

  • when mc jager dies its gona be sad

  • the master and margarita i love that book

  • What a treT

  • Mick looks like Andre 3000 xD

    Hey yaaaaaaa!!!

  • FUcking great VID BROTHER!!!! How come it has around 150K views???

  • iMpreSSiVe

  • Imagine this performance at a time when adult women were still unsure if they will be tolerated if they dare to wear trousers instead of skirts! The Stones were definitely the perfect answer to the Beatles (not that I don´t like what they did, but many angry young people need some anti-establishment stuff to identify with). Today it would be e.g. Slipnot vs. the usual mainstream stuff.

  • @mindfrommatter not really slipknot? slipknot are shite, and not going to last 40 years, the stones played rock n roll, which was very popular in england, whereas slipknot are american . totally agree about the first part though! long live the stones!

  • A MAIOR E MAIS VELHA BANDA UNIDA DE TODOS OS TEMPOS. ALERTAVA: TEMOS QUE CUIDAR E DEFENDER DEUS QUE É O VERDADEIRO DONO DO JOGO DA HIPOCRISIA DO DEMONIO, PARAR COM GUERRAS E DESTRUIÇÕES NO PLANETA TERRA. O MAL É A NATUREZA DO JOGO DO DEMÔNIO. AS PEDRAS QUE ROLAM ALERTAM: QUANDO CONHECER UM POLÍTICO CORRUPTO JUNTO A ELE ESTÁ O DEMONIO.

  • just another reason there the greatest band of al time who was writting songs like this back then

  • The song is a Warning. "Use all you well learned politics or I'll lay your souls to waste." Politics is a branch of philosophy, and it's based on ethics.

  • sympathy for the roling stones.. !!

  • Actually, if you watch this carefully and compare the audio to the standard studio "Beggars Banquet" version, it is absolutely indistinguishable. The video may be the David Frost Show performance, but the audio is just the dubbed over studio version. Would love to watch this with the actual live audio.

  • crazy samba

  • Génial !!

  • R they lyp synching?

  • Brian is playing the piano, but not really on earth

  • don't mean to sound like an ass, but jagger's voice just sounds so calm and melodic for a song so dark.

  • @cultofpersonality123 that's the whole point of sounding evil, or dark, right? why do you think they call it the tree of knowledge? he devulging something, or you could even say, exclaiming. he sounds like, yeah. it was me. so to say it the way i'd envision somebody doing that is cool calm and collected, with a little firmness in the voice. and that's how he sings it.

  • @amberPEARL5 true, if u look at it in that way.

  • Way ahead of its time!

  • Gotta remember that microphone trick.

  • My favorite Rolling stones song besides "paint it black" :3

  • Back in the 60's this was is like a black metal concert !!!!! XD

  • Incase you missed it. At the end check out the satanic horns he puts up as he bows. Who do you think he is bowing too? Satan can't you guess his name!!!

  • Iggy Pop at 2:45

  • @fumeti If you look at the far left of the screen at 2.58 you'll see Brian on the piano.

  • black ops

  • @PMRizzle66 black ops?

  • @MJRiley878 This song was featured in one of the levels of Call of Duty: Black Ops.

  • favorite song and always will be

  • watching the stones mime is so much easier to cope with than so called 'singers' these days :)

  • @wastedproperty I agree

  • This song created the rock that we all know.

God.....sorry, the Devil, bless the Stones.

  • is a huge issue, yet timeless always remains. This

music will always endure, the great musicians, groups never

pass. No matter whether the 60'70'80 'but bands like The

Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, The Who, and others that Aerosmit

never dies. Is a sound that goes to the post.

  • Good to see Jones here

  • this song sumed up everything that was and is rock n' roll

  • for my devil worshipping friend:)xx

  • PT2) 7. And I was there in 70' seekin a new era of White man's pride and change, 8. And All I got was Kosher-Marxist Ghetto Diversity, and nothing but raped, robbed, murdered, and endless pain! Chorus) - Ooo, Who, Who - Ooo, Who, Who - What's My Name,? - Baby, What's My Name? - It's Lucifer and I am a saint, not get me the hell out of this fucking God forsaking place! hahahahaha, yeah, I love this song, my version is better by far though!!! - Ooo, Who, Who - Ooo, Who, Who
  • who's who?...who's who?...who's who?

  • Caramba, essa música é de 1968??? Ainda hoje parece atual.

  • sure put the black guy on the drums

  • why not orginal sound?

  • @olwltd the original audio appears at minute 2:25

  • THE BACKING TRACK IS PLAYING THE SPEED OF THE ORIGINAL MIX... IF YOU WANT TO HEAR THE ORIGINAL MONO MIX (IN IT'S REAL SPEED, NOT THE SLOWED DOWN CURRENT SPEED) CHECK OUT MY VIDEOs!!!

  • CLASSIC

  • @lp32862, shut the fuck up, nobody cares. This is The Rolling Stones. Do you think they were bothered? Of course not, they couldn't give a shit. I don't wanna see you on another Rolling Stones post again.

  • Mick Jagger has a degree in economics from the royal school of London. My macroeconomics teacher was a huge Rolling Stones fan.

  • @riverlioness he indeed attended the London School of Economics but he dropped out in 1963 to pursue a fulltime career in music. He never graduated from LSE,

  • @fumetti

You are right, I checked, and rock was too irresistable of a temptation for Mick to continue LSE. It's so cool that Mick has knowledge in macroeconomics. Mick Jagger is talented and smart. I wish I was talented in music.

  • The pre-recorded audio is the only good thing in this video.

Jagger's ego is full inspite of lip-synching and Brian is out of order (damn Brian !).

R.S fan or not, this is a bit sad to see.

  • Lip synching

  • Now I see who Michael Jackson was trying to be

  • jesus christ super star bestillmybeatingheart. sigh...

  • of course they play to the backing track....

  • lol Mick looks like fergie

  • Good song! I love it!

One more thing please stop picking up on Justin beiber. I don't like his music but that doesn't mean I hate the guy and want to do anything in my way to try to ruin his career.

If you think his music is bad well go ahead and compose your own fucking music.

  • god fuckin bless jagger.....

  • YEAH... FUCKING HELL

  • d+++++++
