  • l think freestyle is harder to mix on vinyl cause of the different characteristic/ tempo of each song, unlike house, high energy, and hip hop music have same type beats....very easy to handle.Try to mix freest. on vinyl you'll see..............

  • Love this FREESTYLE jam and mix. But Shannon's "Let the music play" was played at too fast of a speed in this mix. None the less great jams of the 1980's. Brought back many dance club memories. I remember staying on the dance floor for hours without getting off and being drenched in sweat. LOL Those were the days.

  • Right on bro, freestyle will never die.

  • wow havent seen a dj without a laptop in a really long time. good job

  • I believe its called beat matching Dont get me wrong you got the right idea you just need to work on bringing in the beat s at the right time.and not to cut of versus try bringing in your beats with your level up come in hard and on beat maybe a few scratches for into and let it rip, what do I know. just been spin n for 30 yrs

    Keep it up.

  • You should make a video of you mixing. That way we can all learn from your style. It always helps to see it in action.

  • Awesome post man! Its nice to see people keeping freestyle alive. Where was youtube in the late 80's early 90's. Im sure the artists wouldve gotten even more recognition. Thanx again.

  • nice bro!

  • TOP::::

  • very NIICCEE.!♥♥♪♫♪♫

  • hey why not i miss those days too!

    Robin Fox

    I see stars

  • sick flows man, this shit is ill

  • Thanks for using my track. I think vinyl is easier because it is so hands on. I could not get used to Digital turntables and that "Cue" button.

An exception may be the NS7 which feels more like vinyl and has that Drop strip.

  • One of my favorite freestyle tracks ever. The Denon 3700's are nice also. They have the quick jump button and that let's you get through a track pretty quick. The NS7 is nice though.

    Thanks for the comment.

Yeah, every now and then I use my turntables. So I won't get dumped on for not using vinyl. lol

  • Hey, man. I've commented on your video before. I am a former dj who enjoys listening to your mix. Don't mind the haters. :-) I'm jamming to your mix tonight. Thanks!

  • Thanks.

I don't mind the haters. They're always going to be around, so I just roll with the punches. no biggie.

  • i had to tell this fool something, keep rolling the mixes my brother we enjoy them!!!

  • Thanks, man.

  • You were kinda off on the first mix. Why didn't you use the intro of summertime it has an great intro.

Oh man you would get schooled back in the day if you mixed like you do back then. Freestyle is NOT EDM. You not suppose to mix like an EDM track. You mix intro to breakdowns or intros over choruses.

noel to expose doesn't work it. The songs have two different sounds and energies. expose to wiil to power was an trainwreck.

I not trying to be harsh but you need work on your mixes.

  • I love it when guys think there is only one way to mix music.

I mostly mix edm, but i'm going to mix whatever i'm in the mood for. Don't you do that when you mix sometimes? I'm not going to practice a mix to sound flawless for the 10 minutes we get on youtube. I just put on tracks and go with it. You may be some pro dj who never messes up when you record your mixes, but we can't tell by your videos. nevermind, you don't have any videos of you mixing. Surprise, surprise.

  • well said!! some of these cats here think ur on the apollo!its freakin youtube,10min.quick mix, enjoy it.if not go sumwhere else.too much criticism out there-if u aint got nutting nice to say, dont say anything@all

  • Hey dude he did not use the intro because he did not want to, so shut the hell up Idiot, do your own intro and mix, one thing is to talk and the other is to do, !! Idiot!! DAMN!

  • smooth mix

  • Brotha You sell your cd's???? sell them.

  • Wow you really know how to mix good!! I just started to mix with vinyl and my head is just a mess. Do you have any tips on how to mix in the next song at just the right time? Much respect to you!!

  • Thanks.

I have a video that i'll send you that might help out.

  • god damm boy!!!! you are good

  • Thanks.

  • gangsta ass mixx homie

  • Thanks, man.

  • Reeaaall vinyylll!! yeeeaaaahhH!

  • It shouldn't make a difference what I use as long as you enjoyed the mix.

  • It was pretty dope. Almost every commercial DJ is on that Serato! I'm not gonna lie, Serato pretty dope but it always feel good to use real records. Especially when the record is beat up and all you hear is that "crackle" noise! Love it.

  • I hear you, man. I like the sound of the record also. I like to use my Numark CDX's, but I still buy vinyl when I can. I just convert it to mp3. That's why you'll still hear the "pops" in my tracks.

  • hell ya man freestyle is my fav. music to mix....good video bro....

    -DJ IMAGE-

  • I love me some freestyle also. I have more songs that i'll use later to make another mix.

  • koo man i might put up some freestyle mixes up soon...

    -DJ IMAGE-

  • I dont really know how this works but when your spinnin the one side while the other is going are you trying to find the spot where your going to bring the side your spinnin in o.o; if that makes any sense; sorry for my noobiness *facepalm*

  • That's alright, man.

I sent you a video that might make sense of what I do.

  • Damn, i hear these songs all the time cause my brother has over a 1000 records and theyre only freestyle records. Good mix

  • Your bro has a grip of records.

  • at 2:13, i know that's summertime summertime right? but i tried downloading it, is that a different version? it's sung by corina right?

  • You got the title right, but the artist wrong. It's by Nocera.

  • that shit was sick!! any way you can make an mp3 mix of that?

  • Thanks. I'm going to make a longer mix with more of these old school jams in it. I'll let you know when I do that.

  • This mix take's me way back best shit i've heard in years.Keep up the good work u

    !!!ROCK!!!!

  • I cant even describe how much i love this mix. This is my music. You did a freakin great job, i love it. Keep up the good work. I want u to dj one of my parties im in the i.e. also.

  • Thanks.

You can get a hold of me through my email it's on my main channel.

  • I loved all the songs and the transition from song to song was goo
