good info! i went in 2005 and stayed at the university of ghana. i loved my month long stay and wish to go back one day!!!!
went to the ashanti kingdom as well. remember chasing the peacock to get "the" shot, lol. the guide asked me if i wanted to stay and marry the king, lol. found myself missing the peacefulness of the trip once back in the states. after a month though, the poverty kind of got to me. seeing kumasi was bitter sweet.
It's nice to see the places that fill my memories and bring smiles to my face.

Both Accra and Kumasi are our two cities that make Ghana what it is.
Despite their rivalry, you can't knock what they can offer.
They give the warmth into anyone that comes into our country.

Mama Africa ! From 400 years of slavery to 80 years of colonisation =480 years lost because of our hospitality !!!
Keep on learning from our mistakes we will get over it !! whats coming in the next
430 years for our destiny after our independances? Stay strong Mama Africa.
