  • My you braved that very well, Mr. Coelho! It was like watching the monkeys in a zoo at feeding time. But you were not the monkey, other way around is what I mean. It dazzels me, leaves me stunned to know that there are people who want to be a part of that. That this circus somehow makes them feel valued, adored and needed? Very sad indeed. I love your sense of humor in all this madness....

  • The book was great! It prompted me to think about the price others pay for my entertainment (especially women) in the US; for example: botox, anorexia and surgical implants (not being good enough, the way you are). To want fame at any price, allowing oneself to be treated as a money-making commodity rather than a precious person with a gift, with thoughts and feelings. Thank you Paulo...suggest reading for anyone thinking about 'show-biz'.

  • When I started to read the book "and the winner stands alone" two people come into my mind Michael Jackson and Britney Spears , and many others. So much fame at the same time they are very lonely people. Everthing has a price. I like his point of view

  • me too..

but who doesnt want to be a celeberity?

  • woman????wife,or,dother?

  • Is true that he sold his soul to the devil?

  • But it doesnt change nothing, he still a great best-seller writer and first of all he has a past and his past is full of many mistakes. If you have opportunity to ask him who was RAUL SEIXAS in his life you can understand him better. luv Mr. Coelho!!!

  • who is raul seixas?

  • I am reading his biography by Juan Arias, he said he didn't

  • What an interesting thing to do. The utter maddness and sillyness of it all. Who in the world would WANT to be a part of this? I'm astounded over and over again that there are so many people who want to work as photographers in a scene like this and that there are people who actually enjoy being photographed like an animal. There should be a green carpet invented for all the individuals who just want to walk in the darn door like a "normal" human being.

  • does seem quite scary. There seems to be alot of shouting. I dont think i'd enjoy it as much as i would expect. Yet i would like to try the experience just to see. not that i ever would i dont think. But who knows i might fall in love with someone famous and go too a movie premiere within a week. if only life was always that interesting.

  • The notion of fame and the red carpet experience appears to be more about objectification of human beings who are not judged by who they are, but what their fame symbolizes. Who are all of these people inside of themselves? They are not their movie roles. They are not their books. Fame is an illusion and the red carpet is upon what that illusion is showcased.

  • It seems a pretty scarry experience (for me):):(

  • Well... I must say that "the winner is not alone" but with a beautiful woman at his side...

  • But dost that woman care for him? Probably not

  • what did she say? how was it for her?

    I would feel inconvenient....

  • when you take a guess, are they nervous of how fast and loud things are? it seems like everyone wants a piece of you and will do anything to make sure they get the right picture.
