haven't they had it only at the Coke Zero for like the last 10 years? I don't know why they don't update, maybe then they couldn't make such a big deal about the Coke Zero 400. I love wide-open racing at Daytona and Talladega, there's just not a lot of action in 1.5 mile tracks for some reason....
Actually, only since 2007 when it was the Pepsi 400, but yeah, they need to update it. If not every race, at least the plate track races. Those intermediate tracks don't have action until the end, unless there's a big one, 'cause they don't have restrictor plates, the plates actually keep the field packed, 'cause they slow the cars down. This is the same thing at short tracks and road courses.
it also cost money to be doing this also, its the sponsors during the race that make this happen. if they get the sponcer ship for more races they will do it
*yawn* This is the big one, eh? Nobody died, nobody burst into flames, nobody even rolled over. Just the same old stupid rednecks that cant drive in a circle without screwing it up.
is it me or does it seem like in almost every race 24 Jeff Gordon has the car to BEAT & has the WORST luck always get's crashed or knocked out of the race totally whether he is in the FRONT BACK MIDDLE doesn't matter the crashes r 99% NEVER his FAULT ... why he hasn't won a championship let a lone a few races in the last couple years The BEST was Lagano's FLUKE WIN after crashing last wek due to RAIN & Gordon comes in 2nd AGAIN as i always say 2nd is 1st LOSER geesh
jr shouldnt have been in that crash but the 00 turned into him the bad thing is jr was working his way to the front also the martin crash martin was running 6th and got wrecked
the way i feel thats what kyle gets for his actions he made the mistak in this one not tony at all he misjudges it and his spoter did aswell but i am very happy none of the drivers including kyle got injured nice win tony

Why do they only do wide open coverage on the Coke Zero 400? They should do it on every race
Hlover01 2 years ago 3
I agree with you, Hlover01. Could you imagine how awesome a race at Talladega, or a Daytona 500 would be in wide-open coverage?
nascarfanatic24 2 years ago
Yeah, but that's probably years in the future for nascar :(
Hlover01 2 years ago
Yeah, probably. I guess they just have it with the Coke-Zero 400 as a kind of test to see how it is, and how many viewers they can get.
