  • con mi mano tengo mas pulso pelotudo

  • Good thinking - I like the idea a lot - Many thanks

  • Keep at it my friend.. Use all criticism for a positive,,

  • 100% i won't take that risk, coz your equipment is much more than that PVC pipes.

  • harsh comments here...

    i see potential

    keep it up!

  • дерьмо!

  • All you guys are all talk let see you do some improvement so that we can all win by helping to make a better product

  • man that is not so good

  • this is so fucking shit wow, i suggest you get a proper canon dslr instead of that shit ur using.

  • Congratulation, keep working…

  • I can obtain the same shaky images without any gear.

  • Fucking horrible job

  • get your hair cut, kid

  • It's not really stable but somehow I like the effect, might come useful in some situations.

  • *opens, looks at dislike bar, closes*

    sorry.

  • hahahaha. all those equipment, (lens adapter, external monitor, external mic) i dont think u need DIY equipment =))

  • Great, another kid with pitch change and too much cash... Try thinking about making plans or making a better prototype. Or buy a slider instead of a screen since its completely useless with that kind of camera

  • nice but you woul have done it outside if you dont have lights then the writing on the screen realy iritate all in all greate work

  • diy super fail

  • It is not stable dude.Even drunk ants would not want to cross over it.

  • wtf dude thats not a slider!

  • "under $10"...lol

  • Me videotaping handheld is better than this stupid slider lmao

  • you could stabalize this by finding the right size pvc that fits together more tightly also you might get velcro that you stick on the ground so that the wood piece doesn't move or weight the boards so that it doesn't move

  • you stole that design off indy mogul

  • I actually think that it is a very god idea and you just have to keep working on it to perfect it. Congratulations and keep with the great job! if by this age you are building this yourself, it is most likely that you will be creating amazing things future.

    Best!

  • You would be better off picking up a Cam Caddie. $38 and it's been earning it's keep helping me capture many smooth shots skating around town in day or night. There is an attachment for lights and mics.

  • haha, wad a joke. no offense man,, it can be made better.

  • it's a wobble cam...

  • this kid is forever alone?

  • Some of you people are turds. This kid is doing a good job and if he is this inventive at this age he will be doing some cool stuff down the road. Give him a break. A few mods and this stuff would be a budget friendly slider.

Try the "indy mogel" version of half cut/open T's and some felt unless you are able to line the tubes with something to take the play out of them. The other option would be to spread the tube distance apart more and gain more stability. Keep it up dude! Good stuff.

  • He had to have known while editing the footage that this was an epic FAIL! If at 1st you don't succeed, go eat a pop tart, come back and try again.

  • daddy is gonna get mad when sees that you are using his camera....

  • Did he not apply felt to the contacts of the PVC T-shapes? that would cut down on most shakiness. Plus you need to connect the whole PVC pipe to the board for it to be even more stable. IndyMogul has a video of a correct version of this.

  • if you install a small motor and the camera want to move on the slider by itself with the help of some kind of remote control then it would be a great then you can use a security camera or something i think you guys understand i mean if you don't forget it

  • a bit too shaky for a dolly.

  • Okay. I think the main issue is that he's got it on PVC, not some sort of metal. A PVC dolly would have the same issue.

With the upside down one, there are not very many points of stability and Kevin's not holding the actual camera. Its just kinda hanging there :P

Considering that most of us don't have 1288 bucks to spend on a nice rig, tho, this format with metal would be GREAT. (how much for that tripod head?)

  • So much hassle and trouble to make a slider that work worst than my handheld.....

  • what is the camara you are using? and the lens ? look cool.

  • funny!

    yes, indead,

    <10 USD worth - "INCLUDING" the camcorder ... :-)

  • i could glide better with my hands...

  • @skeggvard

    me too

  • me too

  • me too

  • OKAY, it was shaky.. but I did get the Feel of the Cinematic Effect.. so Thumbs up. Esp 4:15 the Bicycle...

  • U r on the ship?

  • motorized, programmable open-source version on vimeo -> .../21742727

  • Nice DOF... the sample shots were wobbly though... I don't wanna come out sounding like a douchebag, but I think you need to use EMT (Electric metal tube) or something that will stabalize ur "slide"... epic music is epic!

  • if you would use a lens with image stabilizer you get a much better images without shacking... but very nice.... two thumbs up :))))

  • hey where did you get that mini tv so you can se what your recording ive been looking for one please respond thanks

  • what monitor are you using?? and cool but shakey

  • @2wayroad looks like lilliput monitor

  • NICE TRY BUT TOO WOBBLY ... UP AND DOWN SHAKYNESS

  • LOL at your slider.

Also, to the people telling him he did a good job, please don't lie to the kid.

The example footage was terrible and that DIY slider would be better off in the trash.

The kid appear to be motivated in his work, so I don't want to appear as a TOOL.

I recommend that he do some research on building a ZAZA slider and invest in a real Tripod.

Go to "dvxuser" forum and search for the "DIY IndieSlider..." topic and you'll have all the info on what to do.

    Either build or buy.

  • my grandmother could of done a better job then your tool there buddy....not very stable.

  • WOW. You got a nice set-up there. For an HFS-100 at least...

  • Why do you have more dislikes than likes???? And whats the mic for....I saw heard no audio. And you slider was the worst one I have seen on YT...... Sorry...all that equipment and you don't even no how to use it....It's probably your dads and you're playing with it while he is at work...lol

  • Should have used 1/2 in pvc and 3/4 in aluminum tubing.. Would have been a lot better..

  • great job!

what's the monitor model name? cost?

  • Cool, but I don't see how this could be useful?

  • Nice job. Anyone wanting to build this one should just look into the ones with the skate bearings mounted to an aluminum L channel. Then the bearings ride on that same type of channel on an angle with two axis. They are not mush more complicated or expensive and provide superior results.

  • Fail

  • it's very shaky for a traditional slide move, but it can work to get handheld sideward movement. you can still refine this by trying indymogul's way of mounting the pvc pipes on the board. you're almost there :-)

  • umm.... let me tell you how to make that rig actually work... get some cloth and wrap the inside 4 T pipes with cloth to get less jitter and more stability. $2 more and it will be a fine rig so done throw it out yet.

  • Try using better materials. More weight. That'll smoothen out the image, cuz its just too unstable...

  • looooooool

  • sorry man, but the whole point of the slider is that it needs to be really smooth, and the shots this slider produces almost look handheld...

  • i also want to have a 35mm adapter.. so could you tell me how the image quality is?

    thx :D

  • @OldMacSpasti quality is good once you learn how to use it properly and compensate for its problems.

  • @KevinsSecretChamber by any chance... how much did you sepend for the 35mm adapter? :) if you don't mind...

  • Its a very good concept but its not very sturdy/ The test shoots are too shaky. a heavier base would be perfect to stabilize or even attach it to the top of a tripod depending on how heavy the wood is. And it does seem to be pretty light weight. One other thing that could contribute to the shakiness is the fact that the PVC is WAY too high off the board. It looks flimsy. Bring it down closer to the and use a better mounting system than those bolts and nuts. But kudos on the build nonetheless.

  • this is a fail good concept but it needs to be worked on i woul let the pvc touch the baseboard and put screws in fom under neath then cut your camera mont pvc in half so it slids as of now though if your trying to get pro footage this is not cutting it

  • maybe u should change the pvc to steel and have a heavier or larger base. just my opinion.
