@xithro Thank you! So many idiots swear up and down that its really Leon's voice that sings David Ruffin's non-lipsynched parts in the movie. Even that little ".... and I refuse to let you go." he sings to Otis when they visit him at his apartment sounds NOTHING like Louis Price's voice. Now Louis Price's voice is easy to distinguish. Anyway, Leon DID do the part of David Ruffin incredibly though. I couldn't have thought of someone better to do the role.

@MrNostalgiaX Leon was fabulous, but I have a hard time not saying all of the casting was brilliant. DBWoodside was Melvin to a tee, Christian Peyton was a great Paul, and Terron was wonderful as Eddie. Whitfield also did a good Otis, but I don't find his character in life or in the movie as a very distinct. I would think the other guys had to study the real Tempts more to get those characters down.

@temptsfan2 Honestly I dont think they did. Yeah I think Whitfield did Otis alright. I do like Brooks and how he did Eddie Kendricks. He and Woodside are a little stiff with the dance moves though if you haven't noticed lol. But yes, I couldn't think of anyone better suited to Blue's role. But there are a LOT of discrepencies thoughout this movie if you followed their history or at least studied it in a way. Even the singing parts were wrong sometimes in the movie. Ick....

@MrNostalgiaX Brooks was stiff, but so was Eddie! Eddie hated dancing and wasn't very good at it.The movie does present discrepancies, but we can't blame that on the actors chosen. The producers/directors took some license, and sometimes too much. The way they presented Melvin's death was awful.

For the life of me i cant understand why Otis Williams wouldn't give Ruff another chance. The man they replaced him with had a bigger attitude/drug problem only difference is he got kicked out and reinstated THREE times. There's a chance that if otis had done what the rest of the group wanted and welcomed ruff with open arms these beautiful talents might still be alive now. RIP Ya'll.

@theShowStopper321 the movie(while one of my all time faves) isnt spot on on everything. Dennis had a crack problem as did Eddie. Dennis was fired and rehired three times as opposed to Ruff's once. I also think had otis taken Ruff back he woulda have straightened out his life, he was at his best and happiest when he was on stage with Blue,Otis, Eddie and Paul. No drug high can top that.
