This was actually the father of Harris who called 911 when he heard about the shooting and said he believed it could have been his son, answering the dispatcher's question how did who know saying that his son belongs to the Trench Coat Mafia.
OK, I am so confused. I've read/heard that Eric & Dylan were very unpopular, outcasted students, constantly getting bullied. The massacre was an act of revenge towards everyone.
But then, other sources say that bullying was not the cause of the massacre. They didn't complain about this in their journals/videos. In fact, they got to pick on others, and the murders only happened for their own entertainment.
@Sunzu49 There's a testimony from Bree Pasque I believe who said one of them came up to her, pointed a gun at her head and said it was all because some people were mean to him last year. Also there's a documentary on yt (probably Zero Hour but I'm not sure) where a lot of quotations from both Eric and Dylan's journals where they claim it's because people outcast them and keep them away from fun thing they get into. The truth is though, they might have not killed everyone on their way
@Sunzu49 ...(there were a few people - like Bree - who were saved even though it was really close) but they did kill a few innocent ones, knowing it - like some random girl who was praying, shot straight in the face, and obviously random people they met on their way who I don't think they could even recognize, and the teacher. Not only that, but also the home made videos make us think bullying was the root of the decision. It might not have been the only reason, though.
tired of people's bullsh*t? I mean, sure one was depressed and the other one was angry alot, but we all know that depression and anger stimulates from something. I know exactly how they felt and I personally wouldn't have went about it that way but everyone isn't the same.
Witnesses themselves said that they were bullied. Just goes to show that people should shut the h*ll up sometimes because we have no idea what goes on in people's mind or their home. They shouldn't have killed anybody but if they were to do so, it should've been the ones bullying them in the first place. The people always try to make the killers seem crazy or mentally disturbed. I'm perfectly sane and if I would've killed done that I would too be labeled crazy. Why couldn't they just have been
you know whats funny about some of these posts from people, all this sorrow and feeling bad because Eric and Dylan were bullied. Yeah, im sure people were jerks to them, but you know what, its all a part of growing up, no matter HOW MUCH someone is bullied, you have no right to physically hurt someone else (or kill INNOCENT people who had nothing to do with the bullying) boo hoo hoo, pooooor eric and dylan, just shut up.
I don't think the people that did the shooting are bad people!!!! They were bullied and they wernt straight in the head... They had bad lives... They didn't know how to let their anger out correctly so they did this... STOP BULLYING!!!!!
@BEaHERO13 thank you, They want to drive people away from the truth, sadly some stupid people might believe, they do this so everybody will shut up and focus on their lifes... They do that for everything, dont believe the News, they always lie, miss lead, mix up, screw up, twist, EVERYTHING, they always try to censore so we can feel "safe", I want the truth no matter what! Harris received psychiatric treatment for obsessive compulsive disorder (OCO) and depression, and was allegedly prescribed Luvox. This should have been a mind-control red flag to Littleton law enforcement and the district attorney, but was apparently ignored. OCO is a commonly-observed trait among mind-controlled victims, Moreover, although Luvox is an inefficient anti-depressant. It is a very effective synergist to facilitate subliminal thoughts implanted via directed-energy devices.
Cullen is right on some points but he is absolutely wrong about the bullying. Just because you have a small group of friends does not mean you are popular or that the rest of the school is not mean to you.
i think we should look into what psyciactric drugs these shooters were on.such and paxilor trsidone or one of the many other drugs we push on our kids to get them to behave how we want
I feel like I hear a different story from everyone. One minute I hear, Eric and Dylan were the lowest of the low at school. Then I hear, Eric had lots of dates, they weren't really very persecuted, etc. It's just frustrating. I want to know what the real deal was. It's all just so awful and sad. But people saying Eric was more to blame than Dylan? How can you say that? They both did it.....
It's so sad that Eric was a psychopath. And his parents didn't know....
I find it hilarious that there are still people on here that say she still said yes. You only think that because you want it to be true. Don't worry, God isn't any better or worse off by her answer.
@LeGette88 Actually, Rachel Scott wasn't even asked if she believed in God. Val Sheuur was though, according to witnesses. But, apparently, various people were asked if they believed in God. One witness/victim/survivor said that it didn't matter what the answer was.
@MidnightxMagick actually she was.Rachel scott was first shot in the leg with a shotgun blast... then after she fell, Dylan klebold then picked her up by her HAIR, and said "so do you still believe in god?"and she said "yes, you know i do!".and then he put the tech 9MM to her head and shot her in the temple.. this is said by her brother craig scott, that the witness Richard Castaldo (the boy shot with her) said that all happened. also in basement tapes, dylan and eric talk about rachel and god
Dylan was NOT a typical teenager. He was severely disturbed. That said, he had a much greater chance of achieving remission / normalcy than Eric ever did.
Mr. Cullen, Jeffrey dahmer was not a sadist. He didnt torture animals, and he killed his victims in the most humane way possible, and even said that he didn't like hurting people, or seeing them in pain. He killed people because he possessive and liked having sex with dead/unconscious bodies.
What really happened? It was a covert op. There were at least six gunmen, including Harris and Klebold. And at least six more who knew it was going to happen. And yeah, most of them were part of the TCM.
I mean really I could possibly tell more about this story than thus guys book. Why not ask second hand witnesses? I was in columbine when this shit happened visiting my cousin. But he is right! Klebold Did ask the injured girl if she believed in god and simply left her alone. There was no discriminate about a persons faith during the shooting, it was shoot everyone who comes our way.
I hate that the FBI and the sheriffs department doesn't release the "basement" videos and the whole recording of the shootings that occurred in the library. It angers me that they say the RECORDING is too "gruesome" We obviously understand that and are willing to take that mental image of what the student saw. But no they want to keep us from FULLY understanding the events that happened that day.
okay, so this lady is saying that because dave cullen said they weren't bullied that they weren't? i beg to differ because this man was not at the school.....any student there could admit that they were bullied...even craig scott admitted that he wasn't always so nice to them but after the massacre when he realized what went wrong
I am calling BS on this guy. Eric and Dylan WERE bullied. The other stories he said were true, but the bullying thing is totally 100% true. I'm more likely to believe Brooks Brown, their best friend, than this guy.
@1nijigirl2 YEah, we have to believe Brooks Brown because he WAS there, not this Cullen guy who only wanted to sell and so chose the easiest answer "psychopath + depressive" everybody would believe that.
The truth is important. Another myth is that Rachel Scott and Richard Castaldo were boyfriend/girlfriend. In fact, they didn't even know each other that well. They were eating lunch together that day because 4/20 is a recognized date for potheads. Most everyone who usually gathered on that hillside spot to eat was instead off smoking pot in recognition of the date. Castaldo was a pot smoker, but chose not to smoke during school. Rachel did not smoke. They ended up together by chance.
They were bullied, They have footage and many witnesses. The Rachel Scott Incedent did happen, Her boyfriend, Richard Colstaldo, Even said it himself, does he have a reason to lie?And Rachel wasn't inside,She was outside. And no they were not part of the "Trenchcoat Mafia"They hung out with them at times and knew people in there and Chris Morrison a Trenchcoat Mafia Member, Even said that he have and had been arrested on the day of the shooting.
coyoteugly12331: he was shot so it would be totally rational explanation why that was the only thing he "remembered". When it comes to Craig Scott: He told the FBI investigators where he heard the "Do you believe in God?" question from and that was where Valeen Schnurr was sitting, on the opposite direction of Cassie Bernall. Emily Wyant sat under the table with Cassie and she didn't hear the question, neither did anyone else. If you have any other questions about this; go ahead. I'll answer.
coyoteugly12331: There's a thing called shock, I don't know if you've heard of it? It means you don't know what has really happened and what is your imagination, you can be 100% sure something happened, even if you imagined the whole thing. The guy you're talking about, Richard Castaldo, said the question thingy right after he was treated which means he was in HUGE shock. Later on he said he doesn't remember anything about the thing. It could be that he and Rachel was talking about God before
@temporary1121 where's ur research? he has sources. im not saying that u don't, cos i don't know that, im just saying.....he does have many very reliable sources.
@coyoteugly12331 like i said before he has sources. i'd trust u if u had sources. his book actually has a fucking bibliography so have one before u call me a dumb-ass. so why don't you go do some research or fuck off. i'm not the one who took the negative approach first.
@1ofmeful If its not true, then why would the guy who got shot right next to Rachel Scott who lived say that thats what they asked her right before she was shot? Why would he make tht up? Along with her brother Craig Scott. He said it happened. I dont think they would make this stuff up. But everyone has their own story you can believe yours and ill stick with mine.
@coyoteugly12331 People didn't think that Rachel Scott professed her faith before death. People thought that Cassie Bernall was the martyr who did so. But, as Cullen said, that story is a myth. Some also misidentified Rachel Scott as one of the survivors who did say that she believed in God. The FBI later concluded that this was false. Dylan Klebold deeply believed in God as shown in his journal. He did not kill the real girl who professed her faith before him. Nevertheless, it's said.
Another case where our Media reports half truths at the time of an event and we glom onto it for the sensationalism ignoring what may be the actual truth. Our media for all the good they do, are also one of the worst enemies we have in understanding our world news/situation. Take all reports with that grain of salt, look through the BS they love to hand us
OK so they stole the name trech coat mafia from some kids there the year before. the press used the name bcuz Harris' dad called 911 and said he was part of it. OMG the "do you believe in God" "myth" was wrong? is that really that fucking important? These 2 lunatics killed people bcuz they felt bullied and they were punks.
Cullen is extremely arrogant for his extreme lack of efficiency and accuracy in his book. Many of the comments I want to make on his inaccuracy have already been made, but I'll add that Harris was not a psychopath by text book nor DSM standard because he did not lack conscience. He showed much remorse and doubt about doing the shooting, though of course during the period of the shooting itself, of course anyone in the act of committing murder at that time is psychopathIC, but not a psychopath.
They mean it, but it's just that in their perception, the concept of remorse itself has no real value, so they don't embrace it. Like the concept of hate, and death, life, love, facts, lies, also have no real value. But just because someone believes these ideas have no real value doesn't make one a psychopath. Throughout history, people who hold these beliefs have been called philosophers.
Bullying did go on and both were bullied very badly. Cullen says this in his book, he just rejects it as the underlying cause. Bullying was NO MYTH, but bullying as the sole cause was a very big one
If you do not consider: being labelled "Faggot" called by that name daily, smahsed into lockers, refused entry into certain parts of the school, thrown rocks at from cars not serious bullying then that is up to you. The fact is everyone who investigated the school and the shooting when it was still raw found numerous witnesses who testified to Klebold and Harris being humiliated in public on a daily basis, these facts are incontrovertible. Regardless of whether or not Harris was a psychopath!
You know why Cullen does not consider it a cause? It's simple really. How many people have experienced being bullied? Most, to different degrees. Now how many of these people went on a rampage? About 0.002%. You see?
It is as harsh as bullying can be in a middleclass suburban highschool. As for your logic that is deeply flawed. How may people are abused as children and then how many of those people become abusers?? That does not mean that childhood abuse plays a big role. Eric and Dylan had their own problems anyway but it was an unfortunate coming together of minds. At the heart of their rampage was two deeply unhappy boys not at all adjusted in their environment who lashed out violently.
Eric and Dylan betrayed themselves anyway. Eric wrote his whole journal littered with this NBK nonsense but the closing words of his so called "masterpiece" which Cullen hopelessly buys into are the words of a depressed angry teenager who has been shunned by his peers. He even told Bree Pasquale right in the middle of the library massacre that it was because "people were really mean to him last year". People respond to bullying differently of course and most could never dream of doing this,
I don't completely agree with Dave Cullen, but one thing is for sure. He is more convincing than you.
You make it seem as if Bullying the the main cause of this incident, and that mr. good fella, is not the case.
It was a sub-cause with minor effect.
Eric was quite liked you know, had a charm that was hard to resist, he decided to be different, but you make it sound like bullies identified him as different. Wrong.
also, if you watch some of their footage there is one video project in which dylan is holding the camera and is following eric when a beefcake grabs the lens of the camera and slams it back into his face.
@bpatrice49 - Many witnesses also testified in police reports to seeing SEVERAL shooters, even going so far as to describe their clothing. No one knows what really happened, but there is enough eye witness testimony that contradicts the official story for anyone with half a brain to realize that this whole case is very fishy. Evan Long has a website and a You Tube account here with absolute SOLID 100 % evidence that the official story is BULLSHIT personified.
Added to that the fact that whenever the 'columbine myths' are brought up like here on this show or even on Dave Cullen's website bullying is never one which they discuss in detail, never! They do not want to go there, they simply talk on and on about the outcast/trenchcoat mafia myth well that's much easier.
okay, they idolized the move natural born killers.how do we know that they didnt want to relive that fantasy live for instince me when i was about 6 or 7 i allways wanted to be a power ranger i would dress like them act like them sounds pretty familiar but who knows.
I just bought the book today and will be starting it tonight. It's long overdue for a close examination, and it sounds like Cullen got it right. Ive always said that Eric and Dylan werent after "revenge" against "bullies" ... they wanted to BE the bullies, which is why most of their massacre took place in the library against other "nerdish" kids, instead of in the gym where the football team was.
The Christian "martyr" myths have been intentionally propagated by certain fundamentalists for their own dogmatic gain ... when the girl says she believes in God and her life is spared, apparently that's not good enough for them. Instead, its vital to their tall tales that the person become a "martyr" for their beliefs. Hopefully this book will put an end to their pathetic schtick once and for all.
@cinemavirtualis I also saw the video of the officer stating the man shot sitting by Rachel scott the one of the boys shot by her said the gunman ask her after being shot 3 times he came back to her she was mocked for her faith and ask her do you still believe she said yes and he said go be with him and shot her in the head. The boy survived and told his grandma at the hospital. It realy don't matter if they ask her or not. they would of said yea I would have.I would not deny God and still Die
@Jericokaty I would guess if you was ask you would have said no and just think where you would be if you died denying god. it don't matter what you believe the truth is the truth when it comes to God heaven and Hell.
@Jericokaty - the truth is the truth when it comes to fact. Even Rachel's family no longer mentions the "do you believe in God" myth in their lectures because they have been completely disproven. One girl WAS asked the "God" question, and she said yes, and Klebold said "okay" and didnt shoot her at all. I seriously doubt that you even know her name, much less her story (read the book and you will). She wasnt Rachel Scott or Cassie Bernall, because neither of them was asked or responded to it.
@Jericokaty - "Early news reports said that one of the gunmen, after having first shot Rachel in her leg, asked the wounded girl if she still believed in God, and that she had simply answered "You know I do", provoking a second, fatal shot to her head at point-blank range. The FBI later concluded that this interaction did not take place." (continued in next posting)
@Jericokaty - continued: "Although his mother told a Dateline NBC interviewer about the exchange, Castaldo denied telling this story in a December, 1999, Time magazine interview." Sorry, but that is indeed a Columbine Myth, and the fact that you state "it realy don't matter if they ask her or not" in your reply indicates that you dont actually care about the truth. Some of us do.
yes they did thats why they went around and chose and taunted people and dylan took the piss out of kyles glasses before shooting him.. and dylan wore glasses
This was actually the father of Harris who called 911 when he heard about the shooting and said he believed it could have been his son, answering the dispatcher's question how did who know saying that his son belongs to the Trench Coat Mafia.

coyoteugly12331: There's a thing called shock, I don't know if you've heard of it? It means you don't know what has really happened and what is your imagination, you can be 100% sure something happened, even if you imagined the whole thing. The guy you're talking about, Richard Castaldo, said the question thingy right after he was treated which means he was in HUGE shock. Later on he said he doesn't remember anything about the thing. It could be that he and Rachel was talking about God before

@coyoteugly12331 like i said before he has sources. i'd trust u if u had sources. his book actually has a fucking bibliography so have one before u call me a dumb-ass. so why don't you go do some research or fuck off. i'm not the one who took the negative approach first.
1ofmeful 1 year ago
@1ofmeful If its not true, then why would the guy who got shot right next to Rachel Scott who lived say that thats what they asked her right before she was shot? Why would he make tht up? Along with her brother Craig Scott. He said it happened. I dont think they would make this stuff up. But everyone has their own story you can believe yours and ill stick with mine.
coyoteugly12331 1 year ago

These 2 lunatics killed people bcuz they felt bullied and they were punks.
mima572001 2 years ago
so that whole cassie said yes thing was a myth after all.
dirty06maggot 2 years ago
Cullen is extremely arrogant for his extreme lack of efficiency and accuracy in his book. Many of the comments I want to make on his inaccuracy have already been made, but I'll add that Harris was not a psychopath by text book nor DSM standard because he did not lack conscience. He showed much remorse and doubt about doing the shooting, though of course during the period of the shooting itself, of course anyone in the act of committing murder at that time is psychopathIC, but not a psychopath.
jen0619 2 years ago
@jen0619 That's thee point of a psychopath. They show remorse but don't really mean it.
Lazeress98 2 years ago
They mean it, but it's just that in their perception, the concept of remorse itself has no real value, so they don't embrace it. Like the concept of hate, and death, life, love, facts, lies, also have no real value. But just because someone believes these ideas have no real value doesn't make one a psychopath. Throughout history, people who hold these beliefs have been called philosophers.
jen0619 2 years ago
Bullying did go on and both were bullied very badly. Cullen says this in his book, he just rejects it as the underlying cause. Bullying was NO MYTH, but bullying as the sole cause was a very big one
bpatrice49 2 years ago
wrong, they were not bullied anymore than any other student at the time, and in general. In fact they were bullies
Stizou777 2 years ago
If you do not consider: being labelled "Faggot" called by that name daily, smahsed into lockers, refused entry into certain parts of the school, thrown rocks at from cars not serious bullying then that is up to you. The fact is everyone who investigated the school and the shooting when it was still raw found numerous witnesses who testified to Klebold and Harris being humiliated in public on a daily basis, these facts are incontrovertible. Regardless of whether or not Harris was a psychopath!
bpatrice49 2 years ago 17
You make it sound harsher than it was.
You know why Cullen does not consider it a cause? It's simple really. How many people have experienced being bullied? Most, to different degrees. Now how many of these people went on a rampage? About 0.002%. You see?
Stizou777 2 years ago
It is as harsh as bullying can be in a middleclass suburban highschool. As for your logic that is deeply flawed. How may people are abused as children and then how many of those people become abusers?? That does not mean that childhood abuse plays a big role. Eric and Dylan had their own problems anyway but it was an unfortunate coming together of minds. At the heart of their rampage was two deeply unhappy boys not at all adjusted in their environment who lashed out violently.
bpatrice49 2 years ago
Eric and Dylan betrayed themselves anyway. Eric wrote his whole journal littered with this NBK nonsense but the closing words of his so called "masterpiece" which Cullen hopelessly buys into are the words of a depressed angry teenager who has been shunned by his peers. He even told Bree Pasquale right in the middle of the library massacre that it was because "people were really mean to him last year". People respond to bullying differently of course and most could never dream of doing this,
bpatrice49 2 years ago
I don't completely agree with Dave Cullen, but one thing is for sure. He is more convincing than you.
You make it seem as if Bullying the the main cause of this incident, and that mr. good fella, is not the case.
It was a sub-cause with minor effect.
Eric was quite liked you know, had a charm that was hard to resist, he decided to be different, but you make it sound like bullies identified him as different. Wrong.
Stizou777 2 years ago
also, if you watch some of their footage there is one video project in which dylan is holding the camera and is following eric when a beefcake grabs the lens of the camera and slams it back into his face.
icantmakemyownblood 2 years ago
@bpatrice49 - Many witnesses also testified in police reports to seeing SEVERAL shooters, even going so far as to describe their clothing. No one knows what really happened, but there is enough eye witness testimony that contradicts the official story for anyone with half a brain to realize that this whole case is very fishy. Evan Long has a website and a You Tube account here with absolute SOLID 100 % evidence that the official story is BULLSHIT personified.
GnosticScrolls 1 year ago
Added to that the fact that whenever the 'columbine myths' are brought up like here on this show or even on Dave Cullen's website bullying is never one which they discuss in detail, never! They do not want to go there, they simply talk on and on about the outcast/trenchcoat mafia myth well that's much easier.
bpatrice49 2 years ago
dave cullen is an asshole.
10 years to write this book? I was not impressed at all.

I'm onnly in the part where they are killing people outside.
Not good after that?
He does have a weird writing style. he said "What a freaking wild time" about shooting people. Thought it was odd.

okay, they idolized the move natural born killers.how do we know that they didnt want to relive that fantasy live for instince me when i was about 6 or 7 i allways wanted to be a power ranger i would dress like them act like them sounds pretty familiar but who knows.

Dave Cullen is good.
darkfire42590 2 years ago
I just bought the book today and will be starting it tonight. It's long overdue for a close examination, and it sounds like Cullen got it right. Ive always said that Eric and Dylan werent after "revenge" against "bullies" ... they wanted to BE the bullies, which is why most of their massacre took place in the library against other "nerdish" kids, instead of in the gym where the football team was.
cinemavirtualis 2 years ago
The Christian "martyr" myths have been intentionally propagated by certain fundamentalists for their own dogmatic gain ... when the girl says she believes in God and her life is spared, apparently that's not good enough for them. Instead, its vital to their tall tales that the person become a "martyr" for their beliefs. Hopefully this book will put an end to their pathetic schtick once and for all.
cinemavirtualis 2 years ago
@cinemavirtualis I also saw the video of the officer stating the man shot sitting by Rachel scott the one of the boys shot by her said the gunman ask her after being shot 3 times he came back to her she was mocked for her faith and ask her do you still believe she said yes and he said go be with him and shot her in the head. The boy survived and told his grandma at the hospital. It realy don't matter if they ask her or not. they would of said yea I would have.I would not deny God and still Die
Jericokaty 1 year ago
@Jericokaty I would guess if you was ask you would have said no and just think where you would be if you died denying god. it don't matter what you believe the truth is the truth when it comes to God heaven and Hell.
Jericokaty 1 year ago
@Jericokaty - the truth is the truth when it comes to fact. Even Rachel's family no longer mentions the "do you believe in God" myth in their lectures because they have been completely disproven. One girl WAS asked the "God" question, and she said yes, and Klebold said "okay" and didnt shoot her at all. I seriously doubt that you even know her name, much less her story (read the book and you will). She wasnt Rachel Scott or Cassie Bernall, because neither of them was asked or responded to it.
cinemavirtualis 1 year ago
@cinemavirtualis
Val Shnurr was asked.
Lazeress98 1 year ago
@Jericokaty - "Early news reports said that one of the gunmen, after having first shot Rachel in her leg, asked the wounded girl if she still believed in God, and that she had simply answered "You know I do", provoking a second, fatal shot to her head at point-blank range. The FBI later concluded that this interaction did not take place." (continued in next posting)
cinemavirtualis 1 year ago
@Jericokaty - continued: "Although his mother told a Dateline NBC interviewer about the exchange, Castaldo denied telling this story in a December, 1999, Time magazine interview." Sorry, but that is indeed a Columbine Myth, and the fact that you state "it realy don't matter if they ask her or not" in your reply indicates that you dont actually care about the truth. Some of us do.
