I have some nail art deco polishes that are getting really thick and goopy, and really hard to handle with a thin brush. I have heard that if you add nail polish remover it will thin it down. does this work? if not, what do you recommend?

@daisydee412 remover messes it up. i use wet and wild super thin top coat (clear) and shake well..i buy TONS of it to keep my polish nice. :D xoxo

@TiffanyLPS1 dont give up! the first time i painted this, it SUCKED. i am serious..i knew what i wanted in my head, but the pigments werent working and i remember being bummed etc..but i just kept practicng on paper..put the glue on paper..and then pigments and them topcoat the paper and see which pigments act the best.....it makes a huge different to "know" your pigments...each one is different..some SUCK. you have to be super patient at first :) *huge hug*

@leisshalin it is a glue for nails. yes. it is called 'the best glue ever' from scraperfect. they also have foil glue on ebay or in stores that sell nail foils (beauty supply) etc...go to my FAQ links on my front page. all info is in there and its so much better explained than i can do here :)

Love this design so much! Is the back ground white nail varnish or white paint? If it is paint, do you use a clear base coat nail varnish before you put the white acrylic on or can the paint go straight onto the nail? Thanks! :)

@hogwartspirate4lyfe hello!! yep..pigment is that soft fluffy fly away shiny eyeshadow you see in jessies girl cosmetics at the drugstore or........bare escentuals at the mall....go get little samples there or just buy a few on sale really cheap and try them out...they can be so so pretty on nails but each color is a different result! good luck!

@JessBeing you can use eyeshadow really....or eyeshadow and polish.....google robin moses animal print or leopard or cheetah or zebra and see the different ways i paint under the animal print..i do it a bunch of ways :D good luck!

@vlotious it is indeed named "the best glue ever" it is at scraperfect com and elmers will not work..but regular nail foil glue works too...you can get that at most big beauty supply stores or dollarnailart com :D

I bet you could use the loose NYX powders, or even the hard cakes, NYX is great quality and not super expensive like other brands, I just love there wide choice of color more than anything else!

Why not use sparkle polish instead of gluing over the nail and sprinkling glitter on top? It's much cheaper, much less messy, and much easier.

@beseggg they are way shinier..you cant tell on this camera. also they lay flatter. also they can be applied to very small areas like lips or tiny shoes etc....you cant get into those areas with dense glitters as well as using this method....i use both, i am introducing this method....because i get TONS of questions about this method when i begin to use glitter in more intricate tutorials like my "snow white nightmare" etc :) i hope this helps :)

@CnailC thank you so much. that is such a high honor to me. *huge hug* pigments are the loose shiney glittery colors you get for eyeshadow that that are like dust...the shinier the better...mac makes them, bare escentuals makes little testers you can get at the mall. inaz cosmetics on facebook is where i get most of mine she sells tester really inexpensive and BEAUTIFULLY pigmented..(or=bright) :D:D i hope this helps :D

@TheTeennails sure you can!!! this is just an alternative that gives another look...my advice is.....after you get all of the polish in place (use the order of the colors i used) then use a thin topcoat so that your stripes with acrylic paint just FLOAT over the design..it makes for a very 'finished' look and then topcoat again :) goodluck!!!

@XxbambiexX1 soap and water..the glue is water based. im not sure what you mean here..........did you make a mess with it? its very sticky.....to take it off of the nail, just polish remover..it comes off way easier than polish even.....no worries! :) if you made a mess with it...it IS very sticky..so a warm rag with soap and water..wipe down the area, wait...see if you missed aspot...:) very simple :)
