I really doubt anyone hear can say for certain the original doesn't work as advertised. In the event is does work as advertized, the big bucks come in to find out what sequences would make it work. No doubt at the time many where bellyaching how much it cost to develop the internet. I would go as far as saying the original, and even Limor's version are harmless. Bound to be good chances they would trigger seizures in some people.
@letspartie LOL, how is that stupid. The entire idea is to make you close your eyes or look away so you are not able to continue doing whatever illegal act you are currently doing. Once your eyes are closed you get slammed to the ground and cuffed. I'd say that is it working perfectly as designed. I have a 900 lumen led flashlight with strobe mode and trust me you can't even look near someone holding it. All you see is white light followed by flash blindness spots and this thing is stronger.
I've always seen very limited utility in a device that will not stop a trigger from being pulled...And if you're not at gunpoint? You might get better knockdown results by hitting the perp with the machine, than by strobing him with it.

aherm...the research is the thing that costs
but yeah it's over-priced the the government doesn't care since its your money not theirs ;)
anyway the only thing that over powered flash light will ever do is burn out your eyes, or at least damage them
lol the government such suckers ;D

Way too complicated and expensive. Single H shaped 10kW strobe light is way more powerful than it.

Only the govt could spend a mil on a flashlight.
