@Tyrone191 the mcg is a fucking cricket pitch its not suitable for football how can you watch a football match when your 70 meters away from the sideline. the redevelopment will mean anz stadium will hold 90 thousand 10k less then the mcg and it will be a world class football pitch it wont be a fucking circle it will be rectangualar and dont forget th retractable roof. you will be in the heart of the action not miles away from the game. if aus get wc the final is assured in sydney

Queensland may have nice beaches... but they arn't as good as Sydneys.... be honest here... and I'v actually been to Surfers Paradise... Queensland beaches are unprotected, they are open-ocean which causes 'rips'... the actual streatch of sand is skinny... even look up Bondi, Coggee, Manly etc and compare... your just Jealous!!!!

If melbourne had the 2024 or 2028 olympics, my vision for the MCG would be a the exact the same height around the entier stadium with a complete glass wave like shelter all around it along with complete modernisation of the exterior and architectualy designed gardins all around it.

Melbourne won't get the olympics again..... it was just in Sydney.... and there are hundreds of other countries who have not yet even hosted it for the first time..... plus the Australian Olympics Commitee already stated that if Australia was to place a bid.... it would be Brisbane for 2024 or 2028.... which is excellent..... Brisbane is very beautiful.... melbournians constanstly compete with Sydney... they forget that Brisbane is equally as beautiful..

@piesfan3 the mcg is probebly the best oval stadium in th world but it is not suitable for football wembley only holds 10 thousand less and its a football ground not a bluddy cricket pitch. if australia get the world cup the olympic stadium in sydney will host the final. with the redevelopment it will hold 90 thousand people and the it will be rectangular with a retractable roof.
