Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them. In the day, the apostles met in the synagogue and people's houses. The church really took on the meaning of a gathering of believers in a determined place. Thus, I definitely feel we ought to reverence the fellowship of brother and God, let us not be too hard to keep out those who are trying to get in. Each to his own, each with his own gift, provided its in line with the spirit. Was good to hear yawl play
the whole thing with the church being dead.....my gospel band rock solid is a bluesy / rock kinda gospel band and we can't get our church to stand up or praise or nothin ya gotta chase em with a stick to get em to praise and get into the service man!
There's a book and CD about Brother Claude Ely the man who wrote the song "There Ain't No Grave Gonna Hold My Body Down." The book is entitled "Ain't No Grave: The Life & Legacy of Brother Claude Ely" that tells about his life, singing, and preaching. Check it out at the Brother Claude Ely website.
Someone needs to point out that most of the people we can see in the video are older members. This is LOUD for those folks. All they are thinking about is how long is this going on.
Nothing wrong with the singer or the band, but a questionable choice of material and volume for this crowd.
@Vermillion2176 You can't be too quite or else they can't hear. The Lord says praise him with everything you have inside, and these individuals are doing so. I'm not saying your wrong.
I know everytime i do that song we get happy in our church. That song really helps get the spirit moving, but when ur playing in from of dead people that need the annointing of God and get out of that dead zone and let God take over then will feel the power of God. Good job and keep Gods word going.
great singing...shouting grounds...you are singing in a church that is dead....if that can't make you shout...what will they do when jesus comes...go to sleep>
Man, you oughta hear Betty Jean Robinson do this live..AWESOME ANOINTING! Glory pouring down. Can't imagine these people in this clip just sitting there, not even a hair moving. They sure need a HUGE DOSE of HOLY GHOST and FIRE!
This song was written by an old time holiness "pentecostal" preacher named Claud Ely. I've attended camp meetings from a small boy listening to this song.
that's a hand clappin, foot stompin song...looks like everyone is scared. They should try singing that at a Pentecostal church and they'll be sure to get a response from the audience!

Those guys are great! But, those people in the congregation will be the first to heaven.
The Bible says the "Dead in Christ shall rise first".

When my aunt was alive she used to sing this song. She'd get happy and sling her guitar. I miss her.
