i hate these tinngs. my moms got an o3 eddie bauwer (not sure if thats how u spell that) but yea these things are WAY under power. and the thing is put together poorly.
@KingofComputing well then let me rephrase that, under torqued. its pretty quick, but the thing wont even spin a tire on a newly paved road and old tires
@Y0B0YCHRIS well a newly paved road is pretty sticky but on older pavement i've made some tires spin for a second not even flooring it but if you have a 4*4 model then that's why. when the computer senses wheel slip it engages 4*4 high until the slipping stops making it near impossible to spin the tires except in snow which i did today. 1 foot of snow, a trailer, a hill, highway tires, took me 10 min to get out and a lot of rocking and flooring.
wow all i can say is waste of time and money i used to race all the time invest the tire money u just blew into a cold air or something more productive
hi....first woow...second is that 4*4 or no cuz i think it is......third if that is really a 4*4 how did u do that ???...i cant do that with my explorer.....btw my explorer has the same colours....the same engine...and even the same year..so i hope u reply...
How the hell did you do that it must be only two wheel drive right? My 03 can't do that as soon as the rear end slips it kicks in the 4 Wheel drive automatically. : ( I tried to do some doughnuts but even that is difficult to do unless your in very slick mud or snow / ice
I just got done swapping an engine in an explorer just like that. Timing chains were all floppy. Guides broke and tensioner piston came out and was laying in the oil pan. Engine was severly sludged up. Put a used engine in and drove it around for a day. Its a really nice vehicle.
lol all u do is hold the brakes and hit the gas at the same time. the front brakes are a lot stronger than back ones, but once u do this be prepared for new tires and brake pad/rotors
@assphincter I don't know why but the V6's run right with the V8's in a stright line and suck just as bad on gas if not worse I know I've had a two different explorers both sucked gas like crazy and both only had V6's.
And the flow masters mike anything sound better hey at least he's not putting flow master on his civic lol or some other 4 cylinder
stop going around to every ford explorer video and posting the same fucking comment, get a life and if you don't like the fucking car then don't look up youtube videos about it dumb fuck.
My explorers cool but it sucks up 2 mch gas 4 a start. but what i wana ask to anybody is y cant i spin the wheels anymore?? When i 1st got it it spun wen it wanted but now it jus grips and launchs like a bat outta hell! y is this?? To state the obvious i dont know much about the undercarage of a car lol.
I have an 03 v6... always wanted to know how it looked in my truck now I know thanks!!! I would do mine but i vowed never to dog another vehicle out like i did my malibu!... Good times man good times!
Does it not damage your car when you do this? I have an 07" Explorer V6 but when someone tried to brakestand in it, nothing happened except for the traction control system coming on. Never figured out how to do one in it though.
Yes, DEFINITLY don't do that with yours.. this one is probably a 2wd, or he has modified it. if you try and do break stands with your Auto 4x4 you will quickly destroy your viscous coupling in your transfer case, NOT FUN! trust me...
if you want to do burnouts, pull out your front drive shaft and let your transfer case free spin and not clunk in the front wheels for you...
4 of my explorers are full time 4wd.....its only in most of the 5.0 and 4.6 models tho....that 4.0 in the vid dont have full time...it has an auto that kicks 4wd in if you loose traction on all 4 wheels
oh yeah and when you uplug it or do the "brown wire mod", forcing the viscous coupling to spin, you WILL damage it costing you plenty of money.. (the coupling was designed completely without brake stands in mind)
hello how do you did its with your truck because y have one is the same and i willi like do this please tell me how thanks and yes your can in spanish
Is this stock with just the Flowmaster 40 exhaust? I've got an '03 with the V6 and so far just a Mac intake, soon to have flowmaster 50 muffler and 2.5" pipes...just curious. Cool vid!
hey i was thinkning about getting a explorer express supercharger from dave and talked to him abit about it, hows it working out for you? do you know wut the 0 to 60 time is with the super charger on there?

This explorer is either 4x4 with the Brown Wire Mod or just a 4x2, and it is the same engine as the v6 mustang.

would that engine be the same as my v6 mustang? (2006 4.0L s197)

Sounds like shit. Flows are for V-8's only. Putting a flow on a V-6 makes you look like a lame ass wanna be gook ricer.

OH NOOO..
what is wrong with this ford explorer..
it is still poor design and not safe..
my thumb turn down on this vehicle..
why is that reason..
1 - NO two amber yellow taillights on the rear for turning sign..
2 - WRONG gas in hole on the right side and left driver..
3 - BEST suggestion is a V-6 motor and no need it a V-8..

good by transfer case! brown wire mod = dead explorer
Nitrousoxidefast 3 years ago
if i did this in my 4WD the traction control would kick in and stall the engine
and the Brown-Wire Mod destroys your viscous coupling real fast

yeah i have the same problem ..stupid traction control kicks in super fast allthough i doubt it stalls the engine
