  • yes a southern unionist , i believe ireland should be under her queen Elizabeth ii we would have a far better country and i would much rather a protestant government than the one we have here

  • @mickeymadmellons the Royals are just for show,

  • as a unionist living in donegal i feel the loyalist people here were sold out to a catholic government and will always remain a sore point in southern unionist's minds

  • @mickeymadmellons southern unionist? thats interesting, of course as protestants it was the Crown that put us here and set us up, but it was a long time ago, however ultimatley we wil not unite into a state udner Rome rule, though I fear Rome is sneaking into Britain more and more, its just not the same Britain anymore,

  • at the going down of the sun

    lest we forget

  • Their name liveth for evermore.

  • This is an excellent vid...some great pictures.

“Throughout the long years of struggle ... the men of Ulster have proved how nobly they fight and die ..."-King George V

"I am not an Ulsterman but yesterday, the 1st. July, as I followed their amazing attack, I felt that I would rather be an Ulsterman than anything else in the world." Captain WB Spender

These men make me proud to say im an Ulsterman. No Surrender

  • Really enjoyed the video...

    36th Ulster Division

"At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them"

  • great video

  • at about 1:26 to 1:32 these are pre and post war pictures of the same lodge, LOL862. Tragic.

great video and music, No Surrender.

  • this was the ulster volunteer force not the idiots we have now ursurping their name.

  • @jaalmorrell This was the 36th ulster division of the british army although many were from the terrorist UVF group.

  • @lllIIIIIIlll wouldnt say terrorist group, yes the name for the last few decades the so called UVF have certainly been terrorists, but the UVF back then was formed to enact the democratic will of the overhwelming majority of what ultimatley what was to become Northern Ireland, they are smiliar in name only, in my view the UVF of 1914-1918 were no more terrorists than George Washington and the Americans in 1776

  • @rayjt17 I read up on them and they were religious extremist terror gang set up to prevent what the majority in Ireland wanted, home rule.

  • @lllIIIIIIlll they were an organised army who fought well at the Somme, Ulster has right to seperate if its people chose to which they did, they didnt even get fighting in Ireland

  • @rayjt17 why has ulster a right to seperate from Ireland? The people of ulster were never even given a vote on it.

  • @lllIIIIIIlll wrong the majority of Ulster signed the Ulster Covenant a declaration of their express will to remain outside an Ireland under the comand of the catholic church, home rule was in the process of being installed by a very unpopular British government that was on its way out, even ordinary English ppl in ports like Liverpool helped arm the Ulster volunteers, that same government ordered the British army to crush the Ulstermen, but the army was loyal to the crown and refused

  • @lllIIIIIIlll at the end of the day all states are man made,

  • love the music. not so fond of the British army or the impression everyone in the North arent as Irish nationalist as the rest of Ireland...but still a great video and regardless of what side of the wall or sea you come from, its important you remember events that mean something to you

  • Wonderful tribute. Lest We Forget.

  • These men of all faiths and cultures, helped shape Britain into the great land that it is today, god bless those that paid the ultimate sacrifice, at the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them...LEST WE FORGET
