  • I moved from the USA to France in '94 with a small plastic suitcase. Stay nimble and light. It's actually really relaxing. One thing I did which people thought was nuts was that I had some basic furniture shipped, took months, and that was okay cuz the cost of buying basics was sky high. I had to live for ten years without a bed, but whatever, my good old quality mattress on the floor worked. Uprated. I'd have had to pay for storage but found a place to buy, it was a close call!

  • you and me are the same.

  • I got out of the army last year and moved back to my native California. After 6 months I had to leave. The US just isn't for me anymore. Now I live in South America and teach English and Physics and just really enjoy the joyful culture. I totally agree that life isn't about getting a bunch of stuff. With modern technology we can live fairly well without a fortress filled with material possessions. More fulfillment seems to flow from interacting with and helping other folks. Cheers

  • Thank you, I really enjoyed this video as the minimalist lifestyle is the way my husband and I are headed.
