  • Dawuum thts like so frkn AWESOME

  • Comment removed

  • animal cruelty your mom

  • Hi! My name it professor James dacian. I teach a marine biology course at the university of Miami. I see a lot of comments about this particular shark cage being too small. Now. This black tailed reef shark is just a pup. So at the moment, that tank is a decently good size. He will not die, until he gets full size.

  • @ajj6287 Dont you mean Black TIP reef shark

  • @ajj6287 your talking absolute rubbish. No professor can be that dumb. any requiem shark needs the tank length to be a MINIMUM of 10 times the length by five times width in order for the shark to go through its swim and glide cycle so it does not get fatigued. your looking at 10,000 gallons required for this, not 1,000.

The sad fact is this shark has probably already "jumped" out of this tank and died years ago.

  • @colossuses well no shit derp derp. does my picture or name even refer to being a professor?

  • calm down the shark is still a "baby" and im sure when it grows he will buy a new tank

  • @TheNoobkilla911 Sure...

  • Yea, unfortunately that is the first thing I thought, well... Second, first I thought dam that's cool, then I thought, holy sh*t, that tank is way to small! Get rid of it dude!

  • This shark will die do to the size of the tank, either he will out grow the tank and die from inactivity or he will stop growing but is organs will continue to grow. i have a pet shark in a 10 gallon tank but he is a dwarf shark, he is non agressive and can only grow up to 3.5" so he will be fine.

  • @TheRoyalBakery whats it called?

  • @RelaxingReef He is a bala shark but i got him at a local fish store and its not the knid of fish, but its the fact that hes a dwarf shark. i went to petco to get it but thay told me that aquarium village had a dwarf balla shark, so see what you can get. Good luck. Check out my channel have a video of my tank.

  • cool~~

  • What type of shark is that?

  • why not make a infinity tank like the infinity pool for humans ???????????????

  • it's ok for the rest of the fish, but sharks can't stop swimming, Imagine if that shark grow more bigger,

  • This is animal abuse! That shark needs to keep swimming to breathe. Most sharks don't do good in captivity. I am a shark expert that learned everything from Sharkweek on Discovery channel. Please free willy!

  • @jaymangu what type of shark is this is black tip reef shark ?

  • @jimmymurphy898

I live in the Cayman Islands so the Black Tip is no stranger and believe me when I say this tank is far from suitable. They DO NOT stay that small. I can only wonder what he'll do with the shark when he comes to realize this himself.

  • awsome

  • When it comes to sharks, its the length thats more important than anything else... though I do think it should be wider so it can turn easier.

  • I don't like criticizing people, but I have to agree with other comments about this being cruel. I know it's hella cool to own a shark, but do the right thing, and find a better home for it, please. I think it would be happier dead, no joke.

Sorry to jump on you about this, but think about it, for the animals sake.

  • How big is ur tank

  • @shanibella101 I assume it is around 200 or 250 gallons

  • Nice sharkfood... I mean clown fish.

  • That shark is to big for a tank that small no of fence but this is animal cruelty

  • So... how did this work out for you?

  • you need to set it free, the truth is you can't keep most sharks as they are too big

  • Poor shark, you need a much bigger tank if you want this big shark.

  • tht aquarium is huge i dont think it will die

  • Look that tank is way to small for a black tip reef shark, seriously that tank is barely big enough for a few freshwater ruby sharks never mind a bloody black tip if u want to have one of them knock down the Walls between two rooms build a huge tropical reef tank and then u can keep a black tip.....give that shark to sanctuary or let it free....u are an evil, sick idiot what the he'll is wrong with u.

  • you are cruel....that shark needs to be let go

  • hey, theres a big tank out there called "the Pacific Ocean"

  • CCCCCCOOOOOOOOOL a black tip

i used to have one but then i took an arrow to the knee

  • @cmn8bird427 no I'm being dead serious i use to have one

  • Bitch

  • if u wanna keep a shark , keep it properly. give it more space and that means a lot of space. this is cruelty..

  • little large for that tank dont you thank? bet its wild cought on top of that your gonne end up with a dead shark

  • Dude I know owning a shark is cool but there is not enough room for this species. You may want to consider a smaller species.

  • Not good. To less space. This is animal abuse.

  • That shark does not look healthy.

  • Thats like highly illegal but who cares, its still cool

  • thats a beautiful black tip reef shark. beautiful fish.

  • really awesome! ;)

  • fuk what everybody else say you a G for having a shark . It is too big for the tank tho but who cares you got a f*cking shark! I want a shark or some piranhas.

  • Black tips are not illegal, they are sold by Live Aquaria. However, most RESPONSIBLE retailers require proof that the buyer is purchasing the animal for a public aquarium facility or similar. This species is NOT suited to captive life at home, they are a pelagic species that needs to continuously swim non-stop in order to pass water over their gills. This fish should be in a 1000g tank MINIMUM, not that tiny glass box. Just because it's a fish, doesn't mean it isn't animal cruelty.

  • @thecrazypinkcatlady that looks like its easily 1000g

  • Nice shark

  • you bloody idiot.

  • isn't this illegal?

  • what kind of shark is that ?

  • @georgeman21222 black tip reef shark

  • are sharks illegal to own as pets? Wow Didn't know that. Someone better tell Blofeld

  • I'm not trying to debate over the owner and the righteousness of keeping this fish. I'm just stating a fact.

  • It is ILLEGAL to keep potentially dangerous, untamed animals in your home in most countries. Blacktips grow to be really big, big enough to eat the stupid owner of this poor fish I think..

  • What an ignorant prick. There are too many stupid people in the world.

  • i had 2 of these .. but at the time they were small babies i had bought from wal-mart.. shortly they killed eachother and floated to the top... Talk about cannabalism o.O

  • last i heard.i googled and checked that this guy ate the shark for shark fin soup. aint kiddin . this guys asian .

  • @xiaodhanan1 thats good, one shark less:D

  • blacktip i like to cath them

    i

  • U=asshole.

  • this is fucked up...trust me...ive wanted a pet shark for as long as i can remember...but the truth is...a shark that big cannot survive in a tank that small...that shark will die...this is animal cruelty

  • @theskilledwon Your animal cruelty, you probly cant get a shark because when you look at them they automatically die

  • @PurpleBananaGrape

let me guess...youre 10 yrs old? considering its illegal to have this kind of shark as a pet and its cruel to keep it in a tank this small i would never even attempt to own one because i respect this animal too much and wouldnt put my selfish wants in front of the animals well being...

  • @theskilledwon 100% agree!!

@thecrazypinkcatlady 99% agree, because I am not sure if even 1000g would be enough, seriouslly.

  • @theskilledwon Yea, this dude is crazy! That shark gets huge, would be perfect for a bamboo or smaller shark species. Beautiful aquarium but too small for this species. I bet his shark already died.

  • Looks a nice setup, just lose the shark;)

  • Shark: Let's see how long it will take me to get to the other side. Someone count! Go!

    Counter: 1...

  • u dick u can't keep a black tip in a small tank let him go

  • hey guys come home i have a shark in my tank hahahahahahahahahahahha

  • you tit, black tip reef sharks belong where their name suggests.

  • man that thing look awfully crowded in the tank.

  • im sure that shark will die really soon

  • black tip reef sharks need to continuously swim in order to stay alive. If he stops, he WILL die... this isn't about jealousy, and who can afford what- I don't care How long your tank is, IT'S TOO SMALL. they require thousands of gallons at a MINIMUM....the saltwater hobby is about appreciation of the underwater world- not ABUSE.

your slowly killing that poor shark. that's all.

  • THIS is a shark. To all the idiots out there with balas, paroons, banded high fins, rainbows and red tails, pay attention.

  • is it a black tip reef shark?

  • @TheDerp2 yes it is.

  • @AquaReefs im a shark expert.

  • @TheDerp2 Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuull Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.so that makes me a tiger expert because I read a kid's book when I was five about a tiger.

  • sweet <3

  • how long is your tank?

cuz a black tip will be 1.60 meters long.

  • he dose not like it in there

  • @bmxjon1 first of all dose is spelt does, so get it right and that is a lucky shark because it cant get hurt by a predator and its being taken care of. this owner feeds it and keeps it healthy. quit being jealous that he can afford the shark and you cant cause mommy said no.

  • @AquaReefs you are not smarter than me

  • @AquaReefs DOUCHEBAG *cough*

  • nvm its a black tip reef shark

  • Is this a black tip reef shark or a regular black tipped shark? The tail makes me think its the second.

  • MENUDO HIJO DE PUTA

  • you are a evil bastard and you should put him back where you got him. How would you like to be put in a tinny room and all you can do is hit walls and eat. Would You!

  • poor shark.....

  • I don't care what other people say having a shark is fucken awesome I would love to have one in my 280 gallon tank shit is would be so fucken cool ima try no get one plz if u have another one plz message me back kuz I think this shit is cool as fuck :)

  • @HugoGarcia93 Don't get a black tip man. They get nearly as long as that tank. Go for a dog shark or something like that if you can't resist. Top out around 2 feet.

  • @HugoGarcia93 Even that tank is too small so even if u did get one you would need a big ass tank to keep it in!

  • that shark will be the length of that tank in no time. :)

  • is it salt water?

  • please send me a message if you decide to tell me

  • hey im looking for a nice shark to have and i seen this and i think your set up you have is pretty cool now im just wondering about how much you spent on this whole thing and i see the clown fish but i just want to make sure if that is a salt water tank or what? so i see that you said it was a black-tip reef shark. What type of food do you feed it?

  • Is that legal?

  • what's the name of this type of sharks? and how many inch/cm they grow? Thanks!

  • @zzuuuum thats a black-tip reef shark and it can grow more than 3 feet

  • Enough talk of illegal this illegal that.. What about when iraq was invaded illegally and iraqi men were tortured and women and children raped and murdered.. Wasnt it illegal for america and usa to do all that? So wheres the justice for that?? And you all moaning about a fish?? Ignorance.. Thats all am gonna say...

  • @josh786manchester your a knob

  • @josh786manchester tru dat man

  • @josh786manchester Exactly, some people are annoying as fuck. Big deal when the shark gets big he is going to sell it for more cash!

  • CAN ANYONE TELL ME THE NAME OF DIS SONG PLZ? If you can thanks so much!

  • @VoodooGTI Mr. Mister - Broken Wings.

  • @michaelermcgowaniv

Thanks a lot man I appreciate it.

  • very neat. may wanna grab a bigger tank though.

  • Omg i drew this shark before!!

  • get a bigger tank or get rid of it, fish like that needs tripple that volume and even then that would be cramped for him

  • is that a blacktip reef shark?

  • This set up must've cost a lot of money!

  • anyone know how to make beach sand safe for my tank ? i know u have to take salt out but how to ???

  • i would like one but most shark i think grow to at least 3 foot - TOLL DA END OF TIME

  • holy fuck thats a big tank

  • Water changes must be a bitch LOL. :]

  • @cheese82580 not with that much rock haha

  • legal or not everyone is missing the point. this tank is way too small for such a big fish. that shark WILL die. get rid of it before you kill it.

  • @70706scarface no it wont you piss head

  • @70706scarface Idiot, stop making absurd statements. Do you realize how many stinking black tip reef sharks there are ??? Why scream and shout as if this guy is slaughtering sharks on a weekly basis!!!! Really, what is the difference with say a gold fish living in crap water in someones house and having this shark ??? You need to get to the oceans, get underwater and observe before you run that mouth !

  • @erikinhawaii i agree with you people have to stop saying that this shark is being tortured. cause fish grow to the size of the tank meaning it wont grow to the size it would be at in the ocean. so there really is nothing bad bout this shark being in this tank. its being fed and taken care of so its healthy.

  • @AquaReefs You have a 20g tank which has been set up for 3 mths, a few fish in it, and you say that you're aware the tank is not suitable for the new fish you put in recently. Then go on to say you're monitoring the growth and are planning to upgrade the tank sometime soon. So you're aware of how large fish can grow in a saltwater aquarium. Yet here you are, "Aquareef! Internet Hero!" telling everyone how this shark is quite happy in his environment? Strange...

  • @Vikingraider10 It is a sand shark and they stay that size

  • @jimmymurphy898

It's a sand shark, yeah? But someone coloured in the black bits to make it look like a different kind of shark, maybe. Whatever. If it IS a Sand Tiger shark, then care to guess what length they grow to? Only 10' or so.

  • @Vikingraider10 They stay about that length

  • @jimmymurphy898 Why, because you say so? That doesn't mean you're right, just that you think you're right. But you're wrong mate. Wrong on the type of shark, and wrong about the size it'll grow to.

  • @jimmymurphy898 Wrong, it's a Reef Black Tip, and they do not stay that size. Notice the abrasions on it's snout. It wont last long in that tank, maybe another week or so at best.

  • @70706scarface let it die its just a fucking shark!!!

  • ok, that HAS to be illegal to keep a critically endangered tropical black tip reef shark in your house in a tiny tank without a permit and not have professional care.

  • sharks like that i dont think are legal in canada or the usa. how did you aquire it

  • Is it legal to own Black tips?

  • you're cruel

  • @tam1cat AND HOW IS HE CRUEL

  • omg its beautiful, please whats its name? the shark...

  • you need a 1000 gallon man

  • black tip reef shark ay, they don't grow any bigger really, so you could be alright with that tank... it's a close call though

  • also what kind of shark is that ?

  • ...Were gonna need a bigger tank...

  • how is it all the other fish still alive ? Dont they eat smaller fishes ?

  • @ebolaoutkast I'd be really interested to know how you read fishes emotions! I havnt mastered that skill yet! Or are you just making presumptions based on human morality? If I raised you from birth in a prison, would you be happy or sad?

  • definitely blacktip (doesnt look anything like a thresher)

  • Very nice! You must have a lot of money :)

  • málo místa

  • will it grow full size

  • That's a black tip.

  • which shark is that?

  • What kind of shark is that???????

  • Is that a Thrasher shark?

  • @Aquabelly Thresher, and no. I think it's a black tip

  • how much

  • only one thing i see wrong with this...where do you find a toilet big enough when it dies? lol x

seriously though, i want that tank! x

  • Where do you get a shark? I want one! :D

  • @Thelemonleopard you can search around online, but the cheapest iv found pups is like $900

  • Just reading the comments on this video makes me laugh! people have a really strange sense of morality. Anyone who beleives that this shark shouldnt be in this tank should agree that no fish should be kept in a tank! How can you justify any animal being in captivity for the sake of our viewing pleasure? Zoo's are just as bad! If i kept you in a prison is that ethical? even if you had a chance to run around a court yard, you would still be a prisoner!

  • @shardinio every one is dising your comments i would find something else to do than post comments on youtube

  • @shardinio If the animal can choose between being content in captivity and suffering in captivity, which would it choose?

  • @ebolaoutkast what i am saying is that you nor i can tell whether the clowns in that tank are more/less depressed than the shark! we are just guessing based on how happy we would be! and we are not fish. The main point i am making is that if someone truly cared about fish they would not place them in a tank. Any other argument is simply trying to justify guilt! I would probably want to hang myself no matter how big the tank if i knew i was spending the rest of my life in there!

  • @shardinio You are advocating for NO STANDARDS in animal care and trying to justify animal cruelty. According to you it makes no difference if the animal is in a wide aquarium or a squeeze cage. Stop BSing people. Your last sentence shows that YOU are projecting your emotions on the animal, not us.

  • @ebolaoutkast The whole point is i am NOT trying to justify it! I dont believe it is fair and am happy with my decision. I think you need to ask yourself why you keep fish in a tank? Is it for their benefit or yours? and i think we all know the answer to that one. I understand your point and agree that their are different levels of cruelty but lets not pretend that all fish keeping isnt cruel as it clearly is! re your last point. I dont think the fish care about my emotions ;)

  • @shardinio There are standards for the care of every living thing, including -children-. Just because there are poor keepers doesn't make the practice cruel, yet anyone with 2 braincells can tell a 6 ft free swimming shark cannot be happy in this aquarium. They need enough room to not exhibit stereotypical behavior. Don't be irrational. Are you against keeping every type of pet?

  • @ebolaoutkast I am in total agreement on the standards of care but you wouldnt keep a child in a prison and then argue about how much daylight per day it gets! You would be against the fact that it was in a prison in the first place! If you keep a cat then the cat has a choice of running away if its not happy (as long as you have a cat flap lol) but the fish does not choose to be in a tank, we put it in there with no choice in the matter! I find this to be pretty rational!

  • @shardinio Also it's stupid to let your cat outdoors. I'm sure as hell not giving any of my pets a 'choice to run away'.

  • @ebolaoutkast haha! ive had my cat for 12 years and he goes and comes as he pleases! I wouldnt call that stupid. I think it enhances the quality of his life as he gets to hunt some mice and do things more like he naturally would.

  • @ebolaoutkast I obviously know what you mean about the shark but I am trying to make the point that it is double standards to care about animals and then but fish in a tank! Nearly all fish migrate at some point in their lives and it annoys me people who get passionate about fish's rights whilst holding them prisoners in a tank. I know that keeping a child in a box is worse than keeping it in a 7 foot cell but the fact is they should not be imprisoned at all! thats mt point.

  • @shardinio I understand your point but why won't you apply it to land animals? No animals 'wish' to be "imprisoned". Land animals migrate and we even control when our wolf relatives get to exercise and use the bathroom. Fish are not as smart as you think they are.

  • @ebolaoutkast I do apply it to land animals. I think zoo's are cruel places that pretend to be about conservation when they are really there for our viewing pleasure. Dogs have built a symbiotic relationship up with humans over time and have been bred for the purpose. I'm not saying it is right but they would be lost without us now. They exercise more choice than fish do. I don't agree that fish aren't smart as there is no way of knowing and the definition of smart is open to interpretation

  • @shardinio But of course zoos are cruel! Not unlike allowing your well-fed domestic cat roam free to play with and torture wildlife!! Wow, you are a joke.

  • Keeping fish in tank is wrong anyway so anyone moaning that this is cruel best not have a fishtank at all! A fish in a tank is like a bird in a cage! I am setting up a reef tank now but am not so hypocritical to say that it is fair to the fish! I do it for my pleasure not theirs!

  • @shardinio your logic is fucking retarded. that is all.
