Depends. Talkboxes pretty much just route the sount through a hose that you stick in your mouth. If you're planning on doing any live gigs with it, you'll want to make sure they have a microphone for you to use, since you're not really going to be able to get anywhere NEAR the same amount of volume as a standard guitar amp.
