  • come on lets fight!

yea this game was such a letdown compared to the first game...I remember renting this back in the day and wanting my money back

  • @nintendoneil I agree. The first game was good, so was the third, but this one was a bit of a letdown...A sort of leap in what you would expect story wise for a series such as this...

  • @SaikyoMog Maybe it is because a different team worked on the second one than the first and the third one.

  • @MysticArksRevenge I suppose that would explain it....

  • @SaikyoMog Maybe Micronics, the company that developed the god-awful port of Athena for the NES, probably developed it.

  • @SaikyoMog Its just a guess. But do you want to know WHY Micronics's games are terrible?

  • @MysticArksRevenge Well, I'm not sure which games they made (though I'm sure I've played quite a few of them in my lifetime...) But go ahead.

  • @SaikyoMog The reason WHY Micronics's games are terrible, because the president of the company, Masahiko Tsukada, wanted to try making their OWN games, but instead, they got stuck doing ports. He was angry and furious at the publishers of the original ports, so he decided that he and all of the employees at Micronics should FORGET about removing or caring about the bugs in the games, as sort of a "FUCK YOU!" approach to the original publisher, for the way they treated them.

  • @SaikyoMog And so that is why their games are terrible, dude.

Micronics developed this game as well as the first Ikari Warriors for SNK. on the NES.

  • @MysticArksRevenge Hmm..I always thought the NES Ikari Warriors wasn't too bad...Course, I might be thinking this because I had played it a ton of times when I was little and the game was new....Maybe it was the music...

  • @SaikyoMog Well those 2 games were not all that Micronics has done on the NES dude. They also did these games on the NES

    1942-For Capcom

    Athena- For SNK

    Elevator Action-For Taito

Kyuukyoku Tiger / Twin Cobra- For CBS Sony Group and American Sammy

Makaimura / Ghosts 'n Goblins / Ghost 'n Goblins- For Capcom

    Thundercade- For American Sammy

    Tiger-Heli-For Acclaim Entertainment

  • @MysticArksRevenge Ah...Played them all...Suppose thinking back to them, they weren't all bad, but I guess the arcade versions were better.....

  • @SaikyoMog They are better, dude. :)

  • @MysticArksRevenge Indeed....

  • I'd almost (but not quite) play it for the music alone.

  • Woah looks awesome. I've never seen this before.. On a scale from 1 to 10 how much would you rate it?

  • It's really nothing all that special. Perhaps a 5 out of 10. Obviously the kids today won't like it because they'll say it's too hard for them, but looking past that, there are a few problems with the game mechanics.

I guess it's worth playing if you really want to see what it's like, but it's not all that great really....
