@zzsql pretty much all stability/anti slip programs try and cut power and send the power to is't useful wheels. And in this case none are suitable because any wheel that gets power will slip. So then its start's to cut power until the system pretty much derp's itself and you go nowhere haha.. I actually drive with traction control off with my audi in the snow I get a better feel for awd and i can easily tell what the limit is...
@zzsql the question you need answered before you know if vdc is bad or good in this particular vid is how the differentials work when vdc is turned off, whether its open, locking, lsd, i dont really know enough about the outbacks or the vdc to say anything about it
@zzsql He (me) did not stop giving it gas - VDC caused the gas cut offs. Last time was with VDC OFF. VDC is not good for that situation, that doesn't mean, that VDC is bad.
@MydogTobes VDC means Vehicle Dynamics Control and it's Subaru's name for system which includes ABS, ESP, ASR/TCS, electronic difflocks, EBD, BAS for newer models etc...
Very good. I wish I were out there with you with my Liberty (just to screw around and have fun ) :). Thumbs up to you for taking a vehicle off road that was meant to go off road (and not "just" using it for street driving).
i had a subaru, it was very unsteady and skwirly on ice and kinda frightning!! not best for icy roads, but very good at climing slick inclines! awesome video...
Imo Subaru makes the best civilian 4x4's ever. :D

uh, the first two attempts he stopped giving it gas.
The last time, he drove right through.
How does this mean VDC is bad?
zzsql 2 months ago
@zzsql VDC wasn't suitable for that situation. It was so slippy and VDC torqued down engine much because all 4 wheels spin.

@HondzikCZ Fun fact: VDC is designed for much milder/on road conditions :3
peepeevagi 5 days ago
@peepeevagi I agree that it's primarly for on road usage... But why not to try? :-)
For example electronic "difflocks" works really great in light offroad conditions as you can see in my other videos ;-)

@HondzikCZ Those "light offroad conditions" are the milder conditions i'm talking about lol.
It is still just a car. Your poor suspension and tires cant cope xD

Hell Ya.. My next ride.. 2.0i awd subaru wagon

That car is a beast...I have a dodge dakota 4x4 and I would think that it would have trouble with that hill.....

@MydogTobes It's possible, because weight... But you can do in heavy offroad... I can't :-)

@unthedeadstory2 Only combination of VDC torque down and leaky exhaust :-)

@HondzikCZ i like it :D

VDC is worthless. Always keep it off!

is VDC just another way of saying traction control?
creamyfilling102 6 months ago
@creamyfilling102 VDC is abbrevation for Vehicle Dynamics Control
It's Subaru's mark for all drive electronic assistents. Simply it contains ABS, ESP, traction control, brake assist, electronic "diff locks" etc etc...

@IvyLeagueAssassin Are you some kind of a pesimist? No children nor animals were harmed or killed during all ours Subaru meetings, haha :-D
And all that kids have theirs responsive parents so don't care... ;-)

awes0ome!! is that a 4 or 6 cylinder?
easycheezy85 1 year ago
@easycheezy85 This is 4-cylinder. Because broken exhaust was VDC torque-down so obvious (it sounds like missfires) :-)
HondzikCZ 1 year ago
Impressive... bald looking tires & still got up. But having kids off to the side is a little dangerous. Where are the parents!

@lucian688 Thanks for watching. I want to decrease VDC sensitivity a little :-/
