michael jackson invented a special type of shoe for the smooth criminal lean. it had some kind of hole in the shoe and there would be a peg on the stage where the hole fit in, and when u lean foward, the peg keeps u balanced, the lean is physicslly impossible : (

Even if your shins were made of iron, how could you keep the rest of your body straight at that angle? Your explanation makes no sense, physically.

you dont need iron shins to stay straight at that angle, you just need to move your center of gravity, which the "imaginary" peg does for you. michael jackson patented the shoe himself so obviously it is real..

Physically impossible without the shoe. The shoe moves your center of gravity forward, so you can lean forward more than you can without.

I think that it's a knee drop, used by a lot of dancers, including me:p go to knee drop tutorial and pick one out. you can also find this move if you search for some c-walk tutorials... cwalking is the dance i do. mostly, it's done in a spinning motion. i don't know if you look for the knee drop, but i just try to help;)

Try to do some variations , do the Chris " I hit women " Brown's spins ( Check out " With you " video , he does two different spins in the beggining , watch them in slow-mo and learn )

yeah.. part of it. but as your legs stretch more the other way you get spun more.. try twisting one of your legs 180 degrees next to the other so its facing the oppisite way and shift your body weight on that, you autmatically be spun around

actually a lot of it can come from jumping around a bit, if u watch mj in man in the mirror he jumps a little bit before spining because it allows him to draw extra energy from the jumps, not big jumps but little light jumps, maybe three or four before spining
