  • Art Carney was wounded in WW 2 and lost the length of one of his legs. Surgeons had to remove almost 2 inches of bone. He walked with a limp since and despite the experience he was a hell of a guy. Perhaps one of the funniest people that graced us with his presence.

  • @Ascaidh Probably wore a lift on his shoe?I never noticed a limp-hell, look at him when he dances to "Do The Hucklebuck."

  • two legends !

  • hey he used that grand canyon line again in the hucklebuck episode ! oh well. we love them anyway !

  • :24 Jackie lights the butt and tosses the match on the lobby floor... lol...

  • "Say uh pal, I don't know what is, but whatever he's drinking, get me a case of it!"

  • THEY WERE MY FAVORITE SINCE CHILDHOOD

  • @aycharecife, what fooled Norton was that Gleason was not wearing his bus driver uniform.

  • I dare you to go into any public lobby and light up a cigarette.

  • classic

  • The Honeymooners have been, are and always will be the best. I think Norton should have at least said, "Hey, you look just like a friend of Mine" or "My friend looks just like you"

  • the problem with this skit is that if your going to have ed meet jackie gleason....how do you get around the fact that he looks exactly like ralph

  • @aycharecife

well it worked, well enough in fact Redd Foxx done a similar skit on Sanford and Son one episode. so if something works why question details?

  • at around :48 norton almost calls him ralph. as someone else has noticed. he stutters and stumbles a bit then pulls out of it. i love them both for all the fun and laughter they brought to the world.

  • The best. You tube is the best.

    Wow!!

  • iLuVMeTaL4LiFe Your funny kid, My generation grew up with this, he was in my era more then your, you just watch reruns...kids trying to think there older when there not, makes me laugh, slow down kid, you have all the time in the world.

  • @jason75 Seems to me you are the one who needs to get a life. He mentions that his Dad grew up with them to so clearly he understands that he didn't personally discover Jackie Gleason and Art Carney. And when you lecture someone younger you could at least spell correctly. It should be "You're funny kid" and "kids trying to think they're older" etc.

  • @jason75 I'm 30 and I probably know more about Jackie than the average 60 year old.

  • I grew up watching these show, simple comedy.

  • One of the best comedy teams in television history! Five stars. Thanks for posting this.

  • And the way we go!!!!!!!!!11

  • did you ever think that Sam Kinneson got his look from Gleason? think about it!

  • Gleason and Carney were just meant to work together. They have the chemistry that will always get a laugh no matter what audience no matter what generation. It is great that their comedic genius has been preserved for the ages.

  • I can watch this over and over and laugh over and over again!

  • they were the GREATEST!

  • jackie gleason was the best

  • Those of you who think that The Honeymooners is a crown jewel of comedy----raise your hand.

  • HANDS

  • Did Art Carney almost flub up and say "Ralph" instead of "Mr. Gleason" toward the end of his last line??

  • @easguitar I caught the flub as well....

  • I like when Jackie gleason says "you are correct sir!"

  • When did he say that?

  • This was remade when Jackie Gleason moved his show to Florida.

  • hey pal.... i don't know what it is...........but whatever he's drinking get me a case of it. lol. Jackie Gleason IS WAS ans ALWAYS THE best. im 24 y/o, i grew up to this as a child watching it with my dad who grew up with this in his childhood. brings back alot of memories.

  • best show everrrrrrr

  • This is an awesome Lost Episode skit... Carney's a trip... "It's like looking at the Grand Canyon for the first time!"... lol!

  • I absolutely love the Honeymooners!

  • second only to abbott and costello as the best comedy duo of all time

  • that is up in the aire. all the comedy shows such as this and three stooges nobody will be able to redo.

funniest stooge has to be curly.

  • Real classic comedy it don't get any better then that ....

  • Whatever he's drinking get me case of it.

    -jackie gleason

  • Jackie may be gone But, He's not forgotten!!!!!

  • You get to see Jackie Gleason as himself here . It shows you what a great actor he was playing Ralph. I love this show. I know we have all of the shows on dvd and I watch them about once a week.

  • Art Carney's Ed Norton is the model for my behavior.

  • Norton, I've been lookin' at you . . . and I know you've been lookin' at me ...

  • Now that's comedy.

  • I love this skit.

This skit was revived in the 1960's as one of

    the color"Honeymooners"tv episodes.

  • Yeah, I saw it. The 60s version, I mean. And it sure wasn't the only skit revived.

  • Gleason was the greatest

  • I couldn't stop laughing after seeing that clip!

  • Great exit by Gleason.
