  • to w2artmom: I decided to use soy wax when I first experimented with encaustics.

One thing to remember is that soy is soft. I would work with bees wax first then try soy. I think soy has its place in the world of encaustics but not for everything.

  • Just found your blog and love your products and style. Don't care for this particular method because I am vegan and don't use beeswax. =0(

  • hmm...wonder if this could work with soy wax. Never considered it before, but I have soy wax chips for candlemaking. Might be worth a try

  • Good suggestion! Thanks. =0)

  • This "video" is simply a commercial for ordering a DVD. Very misleading.

  • @Sybarite3 It is indeed simply a preview for Claudine's DVD. We try to have all tutorials labeled "tutorial" so it's easier for people to tell them apart from the previews.

  • how'd you do that pen ink transfer??

  • @sevar157 Are you referring to the hands holding the heart?

  • So tempting!! I am working with beeswax for the first time and this looks very interesting! Thanks!
