Divide and conquer is wrong. Integrate and collaberate was the goal. The black rise out of poverty in this generation will be similar to that of any other race. Last week I attended a Christening at a Greek Orthodox Church. Much of the service was in Greek. They prayed for the prosperity their congregation along with prayers for the nation and people everywhere. Why would anyone be offended?

If you are talking the brief clip from Rev. Wright's sermon then you haven't heard it in context. Wright explained his remarks on Bill Moyer's show and again before the National Press Club.

If you chose not to accept this context, that's your choice...but you can't say it wasn't offered.

Same with Obama: How many times must he state his position on Wright's comments?

Agree or disagree, but Wright and Obama both have explained themselves fully...just maybe not to YOUR satisfaction.

In my opinion, dismissing your neighbor's racial heritage and cultural diversity is just as divisive as calling them into question. We are not, by nature or intent, a homogeneous society in America: "E Pluribus Unum"

Your right he did teach forgiveness, but that does not mean wedo not stand up to injustice. Early you wrote "whinning about the past," I suggest that you educate yourself. American education is natorious for erasing the past and creating a fictional present. Institutionalized racism has never been in the past. You assume after slavery or the civil rights movement everyone held hands in circles. The civil rights movement did not end racism, just removed its most graphic and identifiable form.

If you were really a follower of Christ as you claim to be, you would be humble and careful to educate yourself properly before making such bold claims. While I agree that "whinning about the past" will not bring progress, but it is better to whine about injustice than to ignor it. When MLK first started his protest people said he brought violence in peaceful neigborhoods. He said he was only bringing invisible violence to light. Like they were, you are blind of the present injustice.

Jesus and his disciples first appear to ignore the woman's pleas for her daughters exorcism because of her race. When she shows faith that Jesus represents salvation, even in the face of this racial indifference, her child is healed.

The purpose of this piece doesn't seem to be about proving anyone's religion is valid or righteous, it's about separating the rhetoric about Obama's neighborhood church and the Rev. Jeremiah Wright from the political race Obama is running to become President of the United States.

If you stand in judgment of Trinity and Wright (lacking factual information about either), and that weighs heavily upon your assessment of Obama, you're indulging in religious bias.

My assessment of Obama is based upon the fact that he is a Council of Foreign Relations sellout, whom surrounds himself with CFR-traitors, just like Clinton, and McCain, and Edwards, and Romney, and Huckabee, and Giuliani.

The only candidates that are NOT CFR-sellouts are Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich, and Mike Gravel.
