this thing kills you turbine...because the sound this car makes its because you stop fast the turbine the time that its suppose to push the air out and it has no exit for the pressure + you have huge lag on the gear change..

Dump valves help the turbo spool quicker and can stop implosion, especially at raised boost settings. I get the feeling a few people don't know much about turbos.

I don't think it's lame. For 1.4, I am pretty fine with the sound, and wouldn't mind if I had a punto 1.4 gt with sound like that. Better than stock, much better.

For anyone interested, his turbos probably dead now.. Not it's not a dump valve and Yes it's bad for your turbo.

A DUMP VALVE IS THE SAME THING, you wont destroy your turbo by doing that and a blow-off valve wont stop it from breaking anyway you dick. oh yeah and this car doesnt have one

Thats not a BOV . That flutter sound is called Turbo Surge ,You normally get that in turbo cars that have no BOV . Where a BOV would vent the presure to air , Removing it or not having a BOV would cause the presure back through the blades on the turbo . Hence the flutter noise .. Type Turbo Surge or Turbo Flutter into googele for more info .

That is your dump valve/blow off vave not working Fella.

The DV/BOV isnt working and the boost is returning back through the turbo, it will dramatically reduce the life of yout turbo if you dont sort something out.
