It's only $39,000 (even if you have Two PhDs in Math and Physics)

The Experienced Astronauts(COsmonauts) earn around $52,000 to $80,000.

Here's the worst part: Astronauts should work 70 hrs a week, and more than 100 hrs a week starting 2 months prior to a Launch.

Now is there anyone more fucked up than an Astronaut?

that's pretty crazy. money is most likely not on an astronaut's mind when they are prepared to launch off into space. this job goes far beyond petty dollars.

Oh my god! I always wondered how much they get paid. 100hrs a week 2 months prior to launch ... OH MY GOD! that's insane. such low pay. i thought they would be earling 150k+ with ease ...

i guess the chance of going in space, where most people will never get to go in theyr whole life, is enough to get them do theyr jobs in such low pay. Hell, I would go there to work for free!
