They have already said that Assassin's Creed 3 with star Desmond in the present trying to stop 2012 from happening, or something. However they plan to make many games after they finish Desmond's story. The games after Assassin's Creed 3 will feature a new character's ancestors.

@omgitsbenandaaron Actually its definately not going to be China;Shao Jun, because it has been confirmed that Assassin's Creed 3 includes Desmond, Shaun, Rebecca, and William Miles. So I believe its going to be set in the modern time, fighting the modern Templars, Abstergos.
If it were the American Civil War, then yes, your statement would be valid, but the American Revolution is part of World History, too. It inspired the French Revolution (which may not be a point in its favor) and it was surprising to other countries that a bunch of colonists were taking on the world's largest empire. All the colonists would probably have British accents, or something similar, and the French and Spanish helped us too, so there'd probably be a diverse cast.
Some people think of it this way... 43 39 19 n 75 27 42 s, those are coordinates which leads to a crator or cave of some sort in New York State US. That's why they think the next Assassin's Creed is during the American Revolution. I don't think so because that place, that coordinate, is where Desmond and the others left off in Assassin's Creed Revelations, that coordinate leads to one of the Temples.

i dont want that AC3 will be on america, specifically something related to USA, it is just boring, doesnt it?. it will be more interesting in another place like UK or some old place in europe.
At the end of Assassin's Creed Embers, Ezio give Shao Jun (the female assassin from Japan) and small box. When she went to open it, he told her to wait, until she really needed it. Perhaps AC3 will give us the chance to let us play with a female assassin for the first time, and we will get to see how the gift Ezio gave her is important. I must say, I really wanted to know! :)
Immedietely after AC2 I started crossing my fingers for a French Revolution game! It'd be perfect: politically unstable, executions were commonplace, lots of drama (traitors, spies etc.). Hell, when Marat (corrupt reporter) gets stabbed the woman could be of the Assassin's Creed. Honestly, that time period would be perfect for an Assassin's Creed game.

SPOILER: Im pretty sure its america. You have the important line of Shaun Hastings at the end of Brotherhood, about the cap & eye etc. This directs to the US. Furthermore, at the end of ACR, notice that you have to go find the vault (most likely) in US. If there is more need to look into an ancestors memory, it is probably because this ancestor already saw this main vault or knows how to open it. And remember the glyphs in AC2, a line of Subject16; Gettysburg in the distance; American Civil war?
@Carlos848 CONTINUATION SPOILER: it also meets the coordinats given at the end of the Da Vinci Dissapearance, which marks a place in upstate NY. Do also remember that the civil war have 2 big parties, in which the assassins and templars could play big roles.
Now I haven't played acr, so I don't know what happens to Desmond (don't spoil!) But I think it should take place in modern day playing as Desmond himself. Whether it will happen in this one or in newer ones to come, its gonna happen

with that in mind, I dont think the next AC should be in America. The game is all about scenery and free-running; how exactly do dirt roads and wooden buildings fit in to that? No, if it takes place in thr 1700's I would imagine the setting will be Paris, France.
I think Imperial Russia was an amazing place to set Assassins Creed... but the comic book just botched it. What I had in mind was a shadowy ominouse ambience... with alot of creepy dark palaces, and dreary slums. I dont know if anyone watched the cartoon 'Anastasia' (I know, its a kids movie) but you would see how perfect the setting was; taking something intended to be gloriouse and magnificent and turning it into a something creepy and scary. that would truly be a work of art :)

At the end of AC Revelations in the library of Altaïr Ezio has left his sword and his hidden blade in the library shortly before talking to Desmond and leaving the library .. This is a good idea. But if you play and listen to the 5 desmond sequences it talks about when he left his family who was training him to be an Assassin. He goes to New York, and in the cutscene/video in the end of AC:R those people were at the Grand Temple (place where all the other temples converged) when the world ended. When Bill opens the door of the van they're at the grassy hill where the giant heads of the three-person statue crumble, meaning Desmond will go to Grand Temple

Assassin's Creed 3 should be during the revolution, since WW2 would be just about impossible to do, and everything after would be basicly splinter cell. Or better yet, it should be JUST Desmond. No Animus, just Desmond.

If you have been watching Assasins Creed Embers then you'll know that Assassins Creed 3 is played in North Korea or in China because there comes an asian women to Ezio to learn "'the way of the assassin'' and she has hidden blades under her shoes and you'll be having katanas and dual sided swords in AC3.
@omarbaas123 I agree with you there. The trainees' name is Shao Jun, from China and she visits Ezio to learn the ways of the Creed. She may have links to Desmond, but I do not really see a possible strong DNA link to Desmond, therefore meaning the Animus would not be able to link Desmonds memory's to hers. It is a possibility though, and I'm sure a Chinese background would suit the series well.

Japan or china would really kill the storyline of ac franchise. Ubisoft has to remember that the story is still centered around desmond and his ancestors. What the hell would desmond's ancestors be doing in china during the imperial age or feudal japan and how is it possible ? The choice of ancient rome, egypt or victorian england would seem to make more sense. I hope Ubisoft doesn't 'sacrifice' their epic storytelling franchise just to expand their eastern market influence.

They have already said that Assassin's Creed 3 with star Desmond in the present trying to stop 2012 from happening, or something. However they plan to make many games after they finish Desmond's story. The games after Assassin's Creed 3 will feature a new character's ancestors.

oh comon, u all say "oh america wouldn't be good it's just not right" WHY NOT? because it's not different enough for ac? well for one i havn't seen ANY games for the revolutionary war. the architecture and weapons would be PERFECT for climbing and fighting (imagine all the epic moves they would come up with with bayonet muskets.) also it would give some well needed nature to the game outside of the towns and cities.(rome did, but it was all hills and rocks. i didnt see more than 8 trees in that)

If it were the American Civil War, then yes, your statement would be valid, but the American Revolution is part of World History, too. It inspired the French Revolution (which may not be a point in its favor) and it was surprising to other countries that a bunch of colonists were taking on the world's largest empire. All the colonists would probably have British accents, or something similar, and the French and Spanish helped us too, so there'd probably be a diverse cast.

Some people think of it this way... 43 39 19 n 75 27 42 s, those are coordinates which leads to a crator or cave of some sort in New York State US. That's why they think the next Assassin's Creed is during the American Revolution. I don't think so because that place, that coordinate, is where Desmond and the others left off in Assassin's Creed Revelations, that coordinate leads to one of the Temples.

At the end of Assassin's Creed Embers, Ezio give Shao Jun (the female assassin from Japan) and small box. When she went to open it, he told her to wait, until she really needed it. Perhaps AC3 will give us the chance to let us play with a female assassin for the first time, and we will get to see how the gift Ezio gave her is important. I must say, I really wanted to know! :)

Immedietely after AC2 I started crossing my fingers for a French Revolution game! It'd be perfect: politically unstable, executions were commonplace, lots of drama (traitors, spies etc.). Hell, when Marat (corrupt reporter) gets stabbed the woman could be of the Assassin's Creed. Honestly, that time period would be perfect for an Assassin's Creed game.

SPOILER: Im pretty sure its america. You have the important line of Shaun Hastings at the end of Brotherhood, about the cap & eye etc. This directs to the US. Furthermore, at the end of ACR, notice that you have to go find the vault (most likely) in US. If there is more need to look into an ancestors memory, it is probably because this ancestor already saw this main vault or knows how to open it. And remember the glyphs in AC2, a line of Subject16; Gettysburg in the distance; American Civil war?

I think Imperial Russia was an amazing place to set Assassins Creed... but the comic book just botched it. What I had in mind was a shadowy ominouse ambience... with alot of creepy dark palaces, and dreary slums. I dont know if anyone watched the cartoon 'Anastasia' (I know, its a kids movie) but you would see how perfect the setting was; taking something intended to be gloriouse and magnificent and turning it into a something creepy and scary. that would truly be a work of art :)

At the end of AC Revelations in the library of Altaïr Ezio has left his sword and his hidden blade in the library shortly before talking to Desmond and leaving the library .. This is a good idea. But if you play and listen to the 5 desmond sequences it talks about when he left his family who was training him to be an Assassin. He goes to New York, and in the cutscene/video in the end of AC:R those people were at the Grand Temple (place where all the other temples converged) when the world ended. When Bill opens the door of the van they're at the grassy hill where the giant heads of the three-person statue crumble, meaning Desmond will go to Grand Temple

If you have been watching Assasins Creed Embers then you'll know that Assassins Creed 3 is played in North Korea or in China because there comes an asian women to Ezio to learn "'the way of the assassin'' and she has hidden blades under her shoes and you'll be having katanas and dual sided swords in AC3.
Watch AC Embers for yourself and you'll see.

@omarbaas123 I agree with you there. The trainees' name is Shao Jun, from China and she visits Ezio to learn the ways of the Creed. She may have links to Desmond, but I do not really see a possible strong DNA link to Desmond, therefore meaning the Animus would not be able to link Desmonds memory's to hers. It is a possibility though, and I'm sure a Chinese background would suit the series well.

Japan or china would really kill the storyline of ac franchise. Ubisoft has to remember that the story is still centered around desmond and his ancestors. What the hell would desmond's ancestors be doing in china during the imperial age or feudal japan and how is it possible ? The choice of ancient rome, egypt or victorian england would seem to make more sense. I hope Ubisoft doesn't 'sacrifice' their epic storytelling franchise just to expand their eastern market influence.
