  • The original version of the song is by "Tom Petty and the Heart Breakers". "Johnny Cash" liked it so much that he decided to do his own version. This is his version. The song in the Barnyard movie is sung by "Sam Elliot" i believe. I'm not sure if anyone has already said this, for I did not look through the comments. I simply posted this to try and stop the confusion.
