talked to T-Mobile and they won't get it cuz HTC hero uses HTC Sense that uses a Microsoft Outlook support which Google hates...

talked to Verizon and they didn't even hear about the phone until I told them and they looked it up on their shipments and said they weren't getting any...

didn't need to talk to AT&T cuz they have iphone and thats gonna be their only open source phone...

BUT: i hate how it looks like, why not a straight formed phone and a nice shiny black color or shiny white.

Also if you jailbreak the Iphone you can do alot more with the Iphone than with the Hero.

If you could jailbreak the Hero and if there where such a lot of applications as for the Iphone + it has a better looking from the outside i would definitly choose the Hero. I love the interface of the Hero

I use iPod Touch 2nd Generation. The device looked awesome. But after looking at this one, iPod Touch/iPhone looks shit. I agree iPhone has many apps, but I hardly use so many. The only drawback in this over iPhone is its smaller screen size. I am waiting for Sony Rachael. 4 inch screen, WVGA, 8 MP camera (i hope the specs are right). TG01 had everything good except that the touch screen is resistive, not capacitive.

HTC clearly shows that Touchflow3D is their style and im quiet happy they implement it in android, not to mention Android is designed for finger operation from scratch (this makes TF3D on windows mobile absolute).

(for Tmo US) Doubt it. If you look at the technical specs. It doesn't support T-Mobile's 3G 1700 mHz download frequency. Only supports the 3G 2100 mHz upload frequency. So if you were able to get the phone and unlock it, you would download via edge and upload via 3G.

The UI is really nice, and the phone looks good, I like the look of the design, but it does look like it might be harder to put in your pocket... I'm on a 2 year 3Gs contract and the moment, but I'm looking forward to the offerings in 2011! What will Apple have done to improve the iPhone? The Android UI is actually very smooth (tried it myself) and it is far more powerful than the iPhone UI with it's bunch of icons, that lacks tons of "professional" features, a non-annoying notifications concept and multitasking.

Both the hardware and the software of the Hero are better than the iPhone's.

I don't think it will come to T-Mo, just get the MyTouch 3G, HTC might be bringing the interface to both T-Mo android phone. In other words you get the MyTouch with the Hero's OS look.
