u call that coming close??? if you pause at exactly 0:50 you will see that zangief is the equivalent of 1 and a half dash distances away. That looks safe to anyone...he obviously didnt know zangief had magic reach range...Nice move by the zangief player but that just sucked for Guile...anyone would be pissed for getting slammed right there.

This is the biggest crap I've ever heard. Gief is not only low tier, but he has the hardest times against projectiles. Especially Guile's with his low recovery Sonic Booms. I play Guile, but if I allow Gief to get close to me, then I deserve the pain he's going to unleash on me.

There seems to be no getting around Zangief's grabs for a physical character like Guile!  I desperately hate fighting that guy...

That Guile wasn't keeping a Flash Kick charged, otherwise Gief would've had a much harder time getting in on him.

That doesnt really change that much. He did have it charged a lot but its still very difficult to reverse ticks into SPD's.

No, actually Zangief can destroy Guile if he is played properly. The problem is that Guile doesn't have anything to poke Zangief out of the air with. Charging the flash kick is no good because a good Zangief player will be able to get around it no problem. His jump is low and the body drop will beat a flash kick no problem if its placed right. Its next to impossible once Guile is in the corner.
