Dropping calls is my biggest problem at the moment. It really is so frustrating, especially being on a contratc and knowing that you are actually being billed for that whole minute even though you hardly even got to say 5 words. With Tracfone I could pay one set cost each month and know that if i drop a call and have to call back it really isn't as annoying as if I know I am actually paying for it - sounds like you don't even have to worry about dropping calls with Tracfone though!!?
This is all because they just signed deals to use Verizon and ATT, which is huge news in the mobile phone world because prepaid is on the rise thanks to the recession. Tracfone is reaping the rewards!
My parents gave me a TracFone for the holidays this year, and I am in love! $45 a month for unlimited talk, text and data with no overages means I can talk as much as I want without worrying about hidden fees. This New Year, I’ll be able to text everyone in my phone Happy New Year without cringing at the overages.
It's really really important to realize that the nationwide coverage that tracfone talks of, is seperated into two major groups- the CDMA, and GSM networks. They are entirely incompatible so if you choose the wrong phone, then you're going to have a very frustrating phone experience.
While iphones are really cool to have, it's not much use when you're on the road and can't make that call. Beside the really low minimum cost for the kids, one of Tracfone's biggest selling points for us was their reliable coverage. It is a bit like the man on the commercial says...dropped call? what's that?
@MsImpi My son switched to Sprint because of Tracfone's inferior customer service and a friend of ours has an Iphone. They can access the internet and have phone service in different places where I can't get coverage with my Tracfone. Tracfone only buys airtime from other carriers. Currently, I'm having problems with Tracfone's lousy tech support and will switch if that can't get my phone working.

I never drop calls either... I love it, I can save $70 a month and still not drop a call. Also love the free double minutes for life!
