  • god...ive looked all over..seems Kansas knew what a microphone was , but not a damn movie or video camera...man they missed a lot of good times they should have filmed....

  • As time goes by more and more videotape shows up of Kansas. You just have to be patient. Videotape exists of this whole show. A condensed version of the Kansas set (4 songs) is floating around on bootlegs. you can find a couple on you-tube. I've trying to get a copy (fair to poor quality) from a friend to post. I know of one insider (close to the band) who will post lots of video of the band when he gets a VCR-to-DVD converter so keep your ears open and your eyes peeled!

  • @rickyon

Have that friend of the band go to Costco...they'll do it for him for cheap. It's a very easy process.

  • He doesn't want to spend the money. He says he's eventually going to get a stand alone converter because he already tried with computer software and the results were out of synch. Be patient cause this guy has a huge amount of Kansas related material.

  • @rickyon I live very close to this concert site and remember the concert. No one around here has the whole concert video recorded which is a real shame given the fact that they sounded so perfectly powerful and the crowd (of Canadians!) so obviously adored them. I will keep looking and please let us know if you ever ever find it! Skye

  • Hey Skye, this entire show (all of the bands) was pro shot! Some Canadian film company or television station has every minute of every band on high quality tape. There's no telling whether it has degraded over time or if the tape was damaged but there is a possibility that all of this show is out there! We can all hope! A friend is going to put up a fair quality post of SFA from this show. It's up now in video but not in sync. He's getting a new converter very soon! Stay tuned!

  • @clocktime11 NO DOUBT BRO! The only thing better than listening would be watching them perform this live or even a vid. but i can't find any either.Rock on!

  • I'm not 38 years old now. I'm 57 years old now. I know it was the '70s but I actually do remember it well, and I WAS THERE. Mosport, all-day concert. Doobie Brothers, and Village People. I was 24 at the time. :)

  • @SuperC888 .....no doubt that was a good concert!...I've never seen Kansas during the Kerry era...so... I'm jealous, I guess.

  • It was an awesome concert. got to hang with mike mcdonald. cool

  • i was there!

  • @SuperC888 ....ok...why I checked your profile, I do no know except that I would have loved to see this concert. How could you be there if you are only 38 years old now...?? :)

  • Very demandiing vocal, reminds me of Lou Gramm on this one.

  • "Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds."

    Albert Einstein

  • Didn't Steve co-write "He Knew"?

  • As Ed McMahon would say to Johnny "You are correct Sir! " Thank you and please note that the info section has been changed to reflect that. Believe it or not I have a friend here on You-Tube that proofreads all my info sections and sends me his corrections. He did that for a living and said he enjoyed doing it for pleasure rather than for work. Alas he's been on hiatus for a while and his backlog is getting larger and larger!

  • @rickyon i suggest he is getting slacker , sir...lol
