  • The best fretless bass video I've ever seen!!! Man u r good!!! Keep it up!

  • Oohh! Regardless, I think you made a work of art with this video, so keep the video, at least. Very cool all the dynamics, mwah, vibrato, and slapping on a fretless. Work of art.

  • Don't ever get rid of that bass. It really really is great tone!

  • @biggstile I just traded it in for a Wal.. No longer mine

  • Don't Worry Geert, I'll look after her ;o)

  • how much did you pay for it?

  • Great tone.

Can you tell me what manufacturer strings you are using and they look and sound like flat wound?

  • Wow really good groove! I love when you start mixing up the slapping and vibrato towards the end. Good feel! And I love the sound of your instrument the Pedulla buzz. Very inspiring... Cheers, JJC

  • Great playing! And I looove the sound of this bass! Am tempted to plonk a ton of money and acquire one. I have a Fender Jaco Artist Series bass, which btw also sound great in an all-passive way, but this to me seems even better!

  • @blorevicproject Good thing for you, there's actually a red fretless Pedulla almost just like this on ebay right now, for $1200. Search ebay for "Pedulla Fretless Bass (Buzz)"

  • @squiresuzuki Thanks for the tip! Unfortunately, I couldn't find it on ebay. There was only a Pentabuzz (5) blue one.

  • @blorevicproject Are you sure? I can still see it there. Here's the link (add a dot before the com):

    ebay com/itm/Pedulla-Fretless-Bass-Buzz-/150695863375?pt=Guitar&hash=item23162c644f#ht_500wt_1204

  • great playing man, that Pedulla sounds great!

  • fretless bass shows what kind of mood you are in...

  • I have a fender jazz bass fretless, but my bass can't ''sing'' like your bass, is more dark the sound (also with new round strings). I think the pickups are farther from the bridge than the pickups of your bass (sorry if my vocabulary is wrong, i am chilean, i talking in spanglish) but may also be that your amp responds better to the sing of a fretless. I have thought install a pickup near the bridge. what do you think?

  • Wow! Incredible feel, technique, and creativity! How did you learn to play fretless so well?

  • @rcsmith67 thanks but I'm only a bad imitation of the real pro's like the late Mick Karn or Pino Palladino and John Giblin. Just listening to a lot of people and trying to intonate well (still hard after many years). It still remains a challenge but that is the fun of playing fretless : sometimes it's just bad and sometimes you are a bit more lucky :-) Thanks for the response and enjoy the bass !

  • @wombatboter Geen valse bescheidenheid Geert, je bent een geweldige bassist.

  • Sick groove man! I really like your sound

  • Well no, actually he barrely plays fretless, i was mistaken.

  • What is the fretboard material? Also, I hear that Pedulla fretless basses have a finish on the fretboard for roundwound string use, do you know what that finish is?

  • If u think fretless slap is terrible, just type "Mark King"!!

  • @uobio uhh...Mark King plays slap on a fretted bass...?

  • @uobio maybe try, "Michael Manring",instead. =]

  • fanrastikkkkkkkkkkk haaaaaaaaaa i love you!!!!

  • very nice harmonies and intonation.

  • Wow, good sound and playing!!!!!

  • This is stunningly beautiful...

  • @Hammm99 thanks ! you're too kind...

  • Ik kan het niet

  • @Pedullist : het is iets Belgisch...

  • In je volgende filmpjes ook zulke belichting! Dan kunnen we nog eens zien wat er gebeurt :P

  • Cool sound, good intonation.

  • @dinges : i always think that there are no restrictions and no rules (otherwise we would still be playing like fourty years ago). If I feel like slapping I should have the freedom to do so. A good example of slapping on fretless :" You can call me Al" (Paul Simon), a song which opened up a lot of ears or "Frustration" (Joan Armatrading). Everything is possible in music (sorry to have disappointed you)

  • @wombatboter Sorry Geert, maar er moest toch iemand zijn die de standaard youtube-commentaren levert =P

  • Why is it that people always start slapping when playing bass..especially on fretless, it's terrible. You are a great example of how NOT to play bass, so stop.

  • @dinges slapping is a style of playing. i dont see why you are upset by his slapping when the purpose of the video is to demonstrate the sound of his Pedulla. and slapping on a fretless is awesome. especially on upright, its really hard to do but when you get it right it sounds great. you don't know what your talking about

  • Prachtige techniek, je speelt "echt fretless"! Ook leuk met die ghostnotes.
