  • test twat bird go

  • Cute!! My cockatiel whistles to Dixie too!

  • So cute! Thanks for sharing. I have four baby starlings that were tossed out of their nest at less than a week old and I've been taking care of them. They are so precious.

  • My grandma and I just saved a starling fledgling, a cat was after him, and he hopped up onto my grandma, just peeping, she picked him up, and he fell right asleep. :)

My grandma is a genius when it comes to birds, so hes in good hands. :)

  • He's so sweet!

  • I love Poppy!!! I also have a starling Jack Jack i show him this video everyday hoping he well pick up the song =->

  • One of his ancestors was a letter carrier for General Lee, this song was passed down to him through the generations.

  • Oh, this is Poppy whistling FOR SURE! :) Believe me, he whistles all day long! Can you see his puffed out throat feathers? It's true, Poppy did learn the song from me and songs EXACTLY like me, but that is all him! He learned it when he was just a young chick. Starlings are INCREDIBLE mimics and he can actually whistle two or more different songs- all at once! He has two sets of vocal chords. But, believe me, that is all him whistling! :)

  • I must admit there are those that do not believe the bird is whistling, that is human doing the whistling.

  • Adorable!

  • what kinda bird?

  • @CrouchingFatKid It's starling :) they mimic birds and in captive they even learn human voices

  • that was amazing and adorable.

  • The poor little birdie! What airport was that? When I am at the DFW airport, I always see starlings flying around.

  • I'm a gate agent who rescued a baby starling too. Well, tried to. He was on the ramp near maintanance and covered in oil. took 20 minutes to catch him. Tried to clean him, feed him and brought him to Vet Port. Wildlife agts said they'd just euthanize him as a "pest" bird. I tearily brought him home, contacted rescue groups, fed and snuggled him in a box, but by morning he was gone. I did research on them and they make great pets! A shame he didn't make it. :-( I'm sure the oil/jet fuel did it.

  • Wow, what a smart little bird. I can't believe he whistled the whole thing. Cute!

  • Wow, this is amazing!! cool website too.

  • Thanks! Poppy is 5 years old now and whistles Dixie and Mozart all day long! He's is too smart for a little black bird!
