  • MY GOD, WHAT HAVE I JUST LISTENED TO? IT'S THE NECTAR OF THE GODS FOR THE EAR!!!!

  • Jeez...I'm finding all these cool new bands to me on youtube only to find out later they've broke up. Great sound.

  • looks like its to late for me to become a fan :(

  • @fablegame01 No it's not! We can be a fan of their older stuff. I'm gonna buy this album right now in fact!

  • @raistlinmajere100 nice i tried getting this album at the record stoirre but they didnt have it :(

  • @fablegame01 Try on Amazon, they have it there, that's where I got mine.

  • @raistlinmajere100 thats my kryptonite, i kinda cant buy online

  • @fablegame01 Ah well that's a challenge then, idk where you can even get that album in the US. Maybe some obscure record store. As a side note, I play LOTRO too!

  • @raistlinmajere100 yeah hopefully i can buy it off of someone, lol LOTRO

  • epic... and sadly we'll never have new stuff like this... unless they go back together, that would be great :D

  • nice voice \m/

  • Ramingstone, you are about as clueless as they come. All I can say is, try singing this song in falsetto and post the video. If you think those high notes (which are ALL OVER this album) are not in chest voice or some mixed voice, you're deaf, stupid, or both. And also, your third point about singers "blowing their chords {sic}" is preposterous. There are more singers than I can count who can sing C5 and higher in chest voice and they're doing fine. BTW, it's "vocal cords" NOT CHORDS hermano

  • @karaokegil No, I don't think that this song uses falsetto, don't give yourself that much credit.

Falsetto is stronger, although it would sound like a woman is singing.

  • @rammingstone2 pure head voice (basically reinforced falsetto) is really clean just like pure chest voice is, but we dont talk in opera baritones. you have to squeeze your head tone in such a way that it sounds a lot more chesty, has a very witchy sound like "EEEYHHHHHHH" before you find the resonance (shouldnt hurt)

  • @karaokegil You're getting at me for spelling? It's not their chest voice, its a full head voice, pros can switch between them without breaking. in this song the vocalist is clearly swapping chest and head voice a LOT, not like in Rolling heads where he almost does them separately exclusively and you can hear the difference. ever try to belt a high note in chest voice? it goes a little higher if you force it and then your voice sounds like a balloon popping

  • its fair to assume that a few people can belt and carry their belting voice pretty far like bruce dickinson, but even he sings in head voice for the high parts of aces high

  • There's a lot of misinformation going around in these comments:

1.Falsetto and head voice are not one and the same, head voice has chord closure

2.These singers are not altos or countertenors, they have a tessitura well below C5, as C5 is considered one of their very top notes

3.These singers are not reaching C5 in their chest voice, that would blow their chords right the fuck out

4.Don't answer questions unless you actually know what you're talking about ffs

  • Some countertenors (like Andreas Scholl or Robin Blaze) sing in head voice. But head voice (i.e. falsetto) is uncommon in power metal. Most guys, even untrained singers can "hit" high notes in falsetto. But only a very small sliver can sing those same notes in chest voice. A good example to listen to is "the spirit will remain" by edguy. Listen to the power Tobias has on the high notes. You can't do that with falsetto. The high note at the end is an F#!

  • @karaokegil Actually, falsetto is more powerful than the chest voice if practiced correctly, my falsetto has twice the power of my chest voice.

  • tenor or high baritone? because im high baritone and want to sing like that haha

  • @Huzzawful Heikki Pöyhiä sings about an octave higher than typical a baritone would

  • @karaokegil makes him a high tenor?

  • @Huzzawful I would say tenor/countertenor (or male alto). Technically a tenor wouldn't go higher than C5 (i.e., an octave higher than middle C). Heikki goes higher than C5 pretty consistently. So, "tenor" sort of describes it but really he's closer to an alto (many power metal singers fit that description - best example would be Tobias Sammet from Edguy)

  • @karaokegil isnt countertenor just based on head voice? I can go as high as him but i feel like i just suck at the mid notes for some reason

  • That does it! I'm going to order it now.

  • these guys are great. One day they might make another album. But it will be awhile before that happens....but it's a possiblity.

  • @sendmail7 the band broke up several months ago.

  • this is a nice break from grindcore

  • @TheSonsofHorusx second

  • If this doesn't get you headbanging you're deaf.

  • yeah!4!!

  • been looking for this since high school god id miss it so bad

  • @Whitewerewolf88 Nice, i was looking for this song and band too, was hard to find it, but then i remembered some of the lyrics and wrote them on google, TADA! :D

  • i'd give me penis for his voice in a heart beat

  • @allbeastveteran You're in luck! That is in fact HOW one can obtain such a voice. Balls too though.

  • Just heard this band now, and apparently they're broken up... that sucks, they wail

  • Beautiful performance!

  • fucking hell, awesome singer!

  • This song is so epic! \m/

  • So fucking amazing!!! Why they had to quit ;(

  • @coloreel I read it from their site and it's because they weren't interested anymore. And because their keyboarder quit, after the plague house puppet show- album, in 04.

  • Did the singer ever was a guess for Tobias project Avantasia?

  • Almost definitely.

  • Nevermind, according to Wikipedia that's a no. But Heikki Pöyhiä definitely fits the style of the guys Tobias snags...

  • Haha, that last sentence sounds really gay without context

  • THis voice... Who is this guy, His voice is so familiar... Cant put my finger on....

  • just great!!!!!!!

  • Love it.

  • Fuckin awesome band!

  • Singer kind of reminds me of Bruce Dickinson. And I mean that in a good way.

  • How can this be interpreted in a bad way? :D

  • Why did this band have to go downhill after they released this album?

  • they went downhill after bedlam.

  • @Tim66613 i think that their second album was also very good

  • How the FUCK could these dudes have just stopped, they were such good musicians... I don't understand...
